John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.[KJV]
SALVATION or JUDGMENT?
If the conscience of a person is not persuaded by the Word of God, God considers this person ‘dead’ (spiritually). Begging never saves souls, for if it did, I would have gained many for Jesus; but it does not! No matter how my heart breaks, no matter how many tears I shed, people cannot be saved by my begging them to come to Jesus.
It is possible for someone to get away with actual murder here on Earth; but when Judgment comes, you will be held accountable for all sins you have committed. The only hope anyone can have is the Blood of Jesus; the Blood He shed on the cross for you, for me, for the entire world! Christ Jesus qualifies 100% to be our Saviour, and 100% to be our Judge. The tears and Blood He so willingly shed, the tremendous grief He bore in His tender Heart, the excruciating pains He suffered out of love for mankind, makes Him the kind of Saviour and Judge I want!
Jesus today is our Advocate in the Heavens above; He’s our Saviour sitting on the Throne of love. And one day He will be our Great and Wise Judge, sitting on the Throne of love and mercy. We will be judged fair and right in every respect! He will have authority and wisdom to judge every person who has ever lived!
As you read this, you can do one of two things:
- 1. you can accept Jesus as your Saviour and send your sins ahead to judgment where they will be forgiven and disposed of while you are still on Earth. Your slate can be wiped clean, . . . OR
- 2. you can reject Jesus and stockpile your sins in the books of Heaven where each single sin will be completely judged by Christ on Judgment Day! God will not force you to choose Jesus, it all rests on you! What will you do?
The Christ being preached and pictured today is NOT the Christ of the Bible! He is love! Absolutely! . . . IF we obey Him, but for those who refuse to trust and obey . . . there is only looming judgment waiting.
The Bible does NOT teach everyone will go to Heaven, neither does it teach that anyone gets a second chance after death! For unbelievers, after death, only judgment remains (Heb. 9:27).
So, how can you be saved from God’s wrath? from sin and its penalty? from the agonizing and everlasting destruction of Hell? God made a Plan! One single Plan, and that is Jesus! John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (KJV)
The Father is in Heaven. IF you want to go to Heaven you must go through Jesus! There’s NO other way! Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. [KJV] NO other person, NO other god can save you, only Jesus! John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: [KJV]
1 John 5:12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. [KJV]
You must be “born again” into the family of God to be His child and His heir. Only Jesus has the power to do that! Only Jesus holds Heaven’s key!
ARE WE LIVING in the TIME of the 24th CHAPTER OF MATTHEW?
Since the horrendous terrorist attack on the United States (rather the world), on September 11, 2001, I have had different people ask this same question. I will attempt to explain the 24th and 25th Chapter of Matthew with the Lord’s help. It is called the Olivet Discourse. The Mount of Olives was called the Mount of Corruption in the Old Testament, because it had become a favorite spot to build pagan shrines. Solomon had built a pagan shrine and other kings built places of idol worship there also. God-fearing kings such as Hezekiah and Josiah destroyed these pagan worship centers.
In New Testament times, Jesus often sat on the Mount of Olives and taught His disciples about serving only God. It was east of Jerusalem; and the highway to the city passed over it. Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem was by the way of the Mount of Olives. Jesus also made His ascension to Heaven from there.
I know there are many, much better qualified, much better educated Bible teachers than I, and they might disagree with what I will say in this book. Perhaps you will too. The Bible is a very controversial Book at times, and there are many interpretations on certain subjects, but I teach only what God places on my heart.
JESUS PREDICTS JERUSALEM’S DESTRUCTION
Matthew 24 & 25 are known as the Olivet Discourse. It is the last of three major speaking engagements in this Gospel. They indeed are major because they are lengthy, the contents are very worthy and the intent should be taken to heart.
Matthew 24:1 And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple. [KJV]
In the previous chapters, Jesus has exposed the religious rulers for what they were; hypocrites! He has turned His back on Jerusalem and told them their house (temple) was left desolate (Mat. 23:38). Jesus denounced Israel but He still loved her. He still does today!
The temple was made up of many buildings, and looking down on it from the lofty Mountain, it was a beautiful sight to say the least. Herod had built it, and in fact construction was still in progress. It was made of beautiful white marble. I read once, I don’t know if it was true or not, that each stone was encased in fine gold.
Matthew 24:2 And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. [KJV] The temple must have been beautiful. Next to the inner temple, where the sacred objects were kept and the sacrifices offered, there was a large area called the court of the Gentiles (this was where the money changers and merchants had their booths). Outside these courts were long porches. Solomon’s porch alone was 1,562 feet long; the royal corridor had 160 columns stretching along its 921-foot length. As the disciples looked at this enormous and glorious structure, they found Jesus’ words about its destruction hard to believe. But God or His Word never lies; and the temple was indeed destroyed only 40 years later when the Romans plundered Jerusalem in A.D. 70.
IF the marble stones were encased in sheets of pure gold, that would make it very logical why the buildings were so completely demolished that not one stone was left on top of another. The Romans would have been after every last piece of the gold sheeting.
As we saw the collapse of those sky scrapers on TV; let us keep in mind that ALL magnificent buildings, no matter where, ALL skyscrapers all over the entire world, ALL great cities will crumble like those we saw fall. It is thus predicted in God’s Holy Word, and like I said, God NEVER lies! Everything as we know it will pass away. Think about it, and you may see how the disciples were so greatly shocked at Jesus’ words. This entire world will be destroyed by fire, to make room for the new Heaven and Earth that is to come. Count on it! It will happen!
Studying prophecy, to me is wonderful. Every time I read of a prophecy and then read somewhere else how it was fulfilled to the letter, I praise God for His wisdom, truth and power.
Characteristics of this age. Chapter 2
Matthew 24:3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? [KJV] Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the exact place where the prophet had predicted that the Messiah would stand when He came to establish His Kingdom (Zech. 14:4). The disciples asked Jesus when He would come in power and what they could expect. Jesus’ reply emphasized what events that would take place before the end of the age. He pointed out that His disciples should not be concerned with knowing the exact date but concerned with being prepared --- living God’s way continually so that no matter when Jesus came in glory, they would be ready.
Jesus was now alone with His disciples. They proceeded to ask Him three questions.
- 1. When shall these things be? (destruction of Jerusalem).
- 2. What shall be the sign of Thy coming?
- 3. What shall be the sign of the end of the world (age)? Jesus will answer these questions.
Luke 19:43-44 states that armies would surround Jerusalem and destroy it. The Romans utterly demolished Jerusalem in 70 A.D. It was the worst destruction it had ever known; fulfilled just like Jesus had prophesied.
The answer to #2 is in verses 9-22, and the
3rd question; the world will never come to an end. It will simply be renewed. The old world will disappear and a new Earth will take its place. When Jesus speaks of His coming in this discourse, He is talking about His returning to Earth to establish His Kingdom.
Isaiah 65:17 For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind. [KJV] We as believers will be part of this new Heaven and new Earth. Our former confusion, sin and misery of the human race, shall be no more remembered.
1 Corinthians 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. [KJV] Knowing the wonderful and eternal future is waiting for us, gives us hope and courage to press on in this life, to endure hardship, and to avoid giving in to temptation. This world is not all there is. The best is yet to come.
Matthew 24:4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. [KJV] The Lord warns His disciples (then and now), because He knew there would be much deception. We are to beware of false teachers, checking out every sermon, tract, and any literature or tape with the Bible (Acts 17:11). We must focus on Christ and His words. Don’t look for special signs, or to other people who claim they know everything. Look to Christ. Jesus tended to promote caution rather than to satisfy their curiosity, and ours. He wanted to prepare them and us for the events that will happen. We must be so careful, we must take heed that NO man deceive us. The security of our soul depends on it.
Matthew 24:5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. [KJV] I believe that in verses 4-8, Jesus is speaking about the present age of the church; things that will happen before the Rapture takes place. As we near the end of the age, there will be increasingly more false Christs, such as what happened at Waco, Texas a few years ago. Koresh and many like him were not the Christ, and they certainly did deceive many! This is happening today, and we can expect in days to come! If anything, there will be more false Christs as days go by. Personally, I simply cannot comprehend how any sinful mortal (man, human being), could possibly make such an outrageous claim --- that they were the Christ! This is claiming they are God! Utterly ridiculous! And more ridiculous still . . . there are those people who believe them and who fall for this . . . hook, line and sinker! Jesus said that before His return, many would be misled by false Christs. Can we be more prepared for these satanic monsters? YES! Daily Bible study, regular worship at a Bible teaching church, and prayer.
Matthew 24:6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. [KJV] Jesus foretells of wars and great commotions among all the nations. Since the Jews rejected Christ, and He left their “house desolate,” turmoil and war has never left them. Those who will not listen to the messengers of peace, will hear the messengers of war. Those whose heart is established, and trust in God, have peace within them, and are not afraid no matter what, for we know that God is in control of every circumstance. If your heart is troubled, (disobedience to Christ) you are doubting Him. And if you are not with Him (for Him), you are against Him.
The League of Nations will never be able to solve the problems of war. There will be NO peace until the Prince of Peace comes, except the peace that Jesus puts in our hearts and souls (John 14:27). Wars and rumors of wars is happening today and will continue, because Jesus said they would.
Matthew 24:7-8 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows. [KJV] Wars, famines, disease, and earthquakes have always had their place in the world, but they seem to be increasing all the more. When we think of what the Bible says about the eternity of misery that is before all the stubborn unbelievers of Christ and His Gospel, we can truly say that these things are just the “beginning of sorrows.” All the things listed in verses 5-8 will greatly intensify as we close in on the end of the age. What we are seeing now, is simply the “beginning of sorrows.” What will follow will be pain, agony and sorrow unequaled since the world began. I praise Him that I will not see it, but will be at Home with Him in Heaven.
Tribulation’s beginning with its signs. Chapter 3
We are living today in the ‘age of the church’ or the ‘age of the Holy Spirit.’ God’s Word divides the people of the world into 3 distinct groups of people: 1. the Jews, 2. the Gentiles, and 3. the church of God. 1 Corinthians 10:32 Give none offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God: [KJV] At this time in which we now live, God is calling out people from both the Jews and the Gentiles to compose the 3rd group --- the church. So, the 3rd group (the church), consists of “whosoever” red, yellow black and white, Jews and Gentiles! It will be this 3rd group, and it alone, who will be taken out (removed, raptured), before the Great Tribulation begins (1 Thes. 4:14-18). Once the church is raptured, the Tribulation will begin.
Matthew 24:9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake. [KJV] Who is the “you”? It is not the church, for they are gone home to Heaven! Jesus is speaking to the Jews, the nation Israel. The affliction of which He is speaking is anti-Semitism on a world wide scale. It seems that Israel has always been hated by the world; but it is getting worse and worse by the day. But as long as the church is still here, there will not be world-wide anti-Semitism because a TRUE believer in Jesus could never hate the Jews. It is impossible! I think there are many liberals (those who are tolerant to false teachings) exhibiting a false front and in the end, they will turn against the Jews. Anti-Semitism will be world-wide when the church is raptured.
Zechariah 12:2-3 Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem. And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it. [KJV]
Zechariah 14:2 For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city. [KJV] If you look around, you will see that this prophecy is on its way to being fulfilled. The only thing that keeps it from being so is the church, because the Holy Spirit won’t allow it --- yet! But when Jesus comes and catches us up to Heaven, ALL nations will turn against Israel! Count on it. It’s as good as done!
Matthew 24:10-11 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. [KJV] As we saw in verses 4-5, Jesus warned the church to beware of false teachers; now He warns Israel. Many false prophets will rise up and deceive Israel. There were false prophets in Jesus’ day, we have them today and they will be with us till the end. They are the popular leaders who tell people what they want to hear: “God wants you to be rich,” “Do whatever you want,” “Everybody will go to Heaven,” “If you are a good, moral person, you are a child of God,” or “There is no such thing as sin or Hell.” Beware of these FALSE teachings! It truly does matter what you believe!
Jesus said false teachers would come. He was right, as always! He warned His disciples, He warns us today, He warns Israel here not to listen to their dangerous words.
Matthew 24:12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. [KJV] False teaching and loose morals produce a very destructive disease: the loss of true love for God and others. Repeated sin freezes your love for God and others, because all you think of is me, me, me! You can never truly love God or other people if all you think of is yourself. True love is rare today; it consists of care, concern and compassion. Because sin runs rampant, the love of many grows cold.
Matthew 24:13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. [KJV] Jesus knew that His followers would be severely persecuted by those who hated what He stands for. In the midst of all the terrible persecutions of the Tribulation, those who hold out to the end will be saved. In the Book of Revelation, there shall be many who shall be sealed with the seal of God. There will be millions killed for their faith in the Tribulation period because they stood fast for the Lord. If only they would turn to Jesus today, they would not have to experience the “great and dreadful day of the Lord” (Malachi 4:5).
Matthew 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. [KJV] What is the “Gospel of the Kingdom”? It’s the same Message that John the Baptist preached (Matthew 3:2). It’s the same Message that Jesus preached (Matthew 4:17). It’s the same Message that the disciples preached (Matthew 10). It’s the same Message we should be preaching! “Repent ye, for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand.” Jesus said that before He returns, this Gospel (the Message of salvation) would be preached through out the world. This was John the Baptist’s mission, the disciples’ mission, and it is our mission today. There are not many ways to be saved. There is only ONE Way, and that is Jesus! We must repent and accept what He did for us on the cross. The end of the world (age) will not come until the Gospel has reached the utter most parts of the world. Remember that Jesus is answering the question the disciples asked: “What is the sign of the end of the age?” Jesus is speaking of that end time. Israel’s evangelism will not be completed before the Rapture, because in the Tribulation, 144,000 evangelists will be sealed to preach the Gospel of the Kingdom (Rev.7), the two witnesses shall also preach the Gospel (Rev.11), and too, an angel will spread the everlasting Gospel in the Tribulation (Rev. 14:6). Angels are NOT entrusted with the Gospel today, but will be then. It is the duty of “born again” Christians to reach lost souls today.
The Abomination of Desolation Chapter 4
Matthew 24:15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand: [KJV] The “abomination of desolation” mentioned by both Daniel and Jesus, is a deliberate attempt to mock and deny the reality of God and His Presence. It will be the desecration (defiling, blasphemy) of the temple by God’s enemies, for in the end times the Antichrist will set up an image of himself and order everyone to worship it (2 Thes. 2:4; Rev. 13:14-15). The abomination mentioned in Revelation 13 will not be the first time God’s enemies debased Him, but this time will be the last.
The church will not see this blasphemy, for we will not be here. Instead of looking for the Antichrist and his abominations, we are to be looking for our Lord. Titus 2:13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; [KJV]
Matthew 24:16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains: [KJV] Again, this will not be you and I. This will be the Jews. Jesus is prophesying to Israel. He tells them here, that when they see the “abomination” they should make haste and run to the mountains.
Matthew 24:17 Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house: [KJV] The “housetops” would compare with our porch or patio. We don’t spend time on housetops, the Jews do. The destruction and desolation of the Tribulation, cannot be found anywhere in history. The more we consider these things, the more we should see why we should flee without delay for refuge of Christ, renouncing every earthly object, for the salvation of our souls. Christ foretells the ruin coming upon the Jews.
Matthew 24:18 Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes. [KJV] This is referring to people engaged in farming. If the worker hears of the “abomination of desolation” he is to run, now, not go back and get his coat. Normally a worker would leave his coat at the end of a row in the morning. But Jesus says “run” and do not go back and get that coat.
Matthew 24:19 And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days! [KJV] Jesus reveals His tender care and love for mothers and their small children. It will be very hard on them during this time of trouble.
Matthew 24:20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day: [KJV] I think this is proof that Jesus is speaking to Jews in these verses, because He mentions the Sabbath day.
Matthew 24:21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. [KJV] The world and the Jews have seen some horrific things happen over the centuries; but the Great Tribulation will top them all! The world has seen nothing compared to what is ahead, what God is holding in store for unbelievers. God is in control of everything, even the length of the plagues and persecutions. He will not forget His people. We need to remember this, for it might motivate us to live in a right and pleasing manner to the Lord now.
Matthew 24:22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened. [KJV] The Book of Revelation tells us in one place that 1/4 of the world’s population will be destroyed (Rev. 6:8); in another place another 1/3 of the world’s population will be destroyed (Rev. 9:18); in another place it tells us that another 7000 will be killed (Rev. 11:13). People will pray for death but it won’t come (Rev. 6:16). The horrendous plagues God will send on this godless people will be unequaled to anything this world has ever seen. No one could possible survive unless God shortens the time because of His elect.
In chapter 6 of Revelation, the red horse of war, the black horse of famine and the pale horse of death will run rough shod during this period. The population of the world will be massacred. After every war, there is mourning and famine, brought about by lack of food. But as always, the rich will not suffer from hunger, only the poor (Rev. 6:5-6). Death will come in many ways: war caused by the Antichrist, hunger and wild animals.
This is not being exaggerated. This will happen. It is only by the grace of God and His care and concern for His chosen ones, will anyone make it through the Great Tribulation Period.
JESUS WILL COME AGAIN! Chapter 5
Matthew 24:23-25 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Behold, I have told you before. [KJV] Miracles today should be looked upon with great suspicion; because the next miracle worker will NOT be Christ, but the Antichrist, with a multitude of false prophets behind him. Who are the “elect” mentioned here? The Bible tells us there are two ‘elect’ groups: the elect of the nation Israel (Is.45:4) and the elect of the church (1 Thes. 1:4). Who has Jesus been talking to in these verses? Israel! He is still speaking to the Jews here too, not the church. Jesus warns about false teachers time after time. Many nice-sounding messages don’t agree with God’s Message in the Bible. Only a solid foundation in God’s Word can equip us to see the errors and distortions in false teaching (Acts 17:11). The more you study God’s Word the more likely you will be to spot any falsehoods.
Matthew 24:26-27 Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not. For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. [KJV] When Jesus comes back, John the Baptist won’t have to announce Him. The world will KNOW it! He will come like lightening! No one will be able to miss Him. No one will need to announce Him! Everybody will know it! Today we have many who say they are Christ. If we study the Bible, we know that those who claim to be Christ, are not Him! Jesus’ return will be unmistakable (Mark 13:26); no one will doubt that it is He. If someone has to tell you that the Messiah has come, then He hasn’t! Christ’s second coming will be obvious to everyone. The second coming of Christ is not the Rapture.
Matthew 24:28 For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together. [KJV] Jesus was speaking of His coming in glory; now He speaks of carrion (decaying flesh) eating birds. I think the “eagles” are probably vultures. Eagles, to my knowledge kill their own prey and feed its young (Job 39:29-30). Some versions of the Bible state vultures in Mic.1:16. I think He is speaking of the judgment to come. In Rev.19:17-18, an angel announces the “supper of the great God” to the fowls of the air. These birds are agents of God’s divine judgment. When people, refuse to forsake their sin, they become as loathsome carcasses to God. God shall destroy them.
Matthew 24:29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken. [KJV] Prophets often speak of things as near and just at hand, to indicate the greatness and accuracy of them. A great change shall take place in this world, in order to the make all things new after Christ’s second coming.
Matthew 24:30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. [KJV] In the Old Testament, Israel had the ‘shekinah’ Presence of God (His glory) hovering over them. But because of their sin, the shekinah departed (Ezekiel 10:18-19; 11:23). It came again at the birth of Christ, but Israel rejected Him. I think the shekinah may be the “sign” in Heaven, hovering over the Earth, before Christ comes in the clouds. All Israel will mourn; and unbelievers will suddenly realize they have chosen the wrong side. Sooner or later, all unbelieving sinners will be mourners.
Matthew 24:31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. [KJV] The “elect” is still Israel, not the church; for it has been raptured before the Tribulation. The Lord will come in Person to receive the church at the Rapture. He won’t need any help! Here angels are sent to gather the Jews from every part of the world. Ministering angels have always been associated with Israel. The Jews are scattered; in all places and all nations; but when that gathering day comes, none of the elect will be forgotten, the same as the Rapture. Distance won’t keep any out of Heaven. The Jews will never cease to be a special people in God’s eyes.
Israel is to be a sign of the Rapture! Chapter 6
Matthew 24:32-33 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. [KJV] The fig tree is a symbol for Israel (Jer. 24:1; Hos. 9:10). God will never do anything without His first revealing His secret plans to His servants (Amos 3:7). Every great event in history was previously revealed, before God took action: the Flood, Israel’s captivity, Christ’s first coming, the destruction of Jerusalem, etc. So too it will be with the end of this age. There are signs we can look for; and here, Jesus states the main one is Israel! We need to keep our eyes on Israel. She is the ‘key’ that will turn God’s plan into action. The first event that will take place before the Tribulation is the Rapture. Immediately after the church is removed from this Earth, the Antichrist will sign a peace treaty with Israel. Do you see what is happening with Israel today? She is in constant unrest, always in conflict with her neighbors. She grasps for peace, but it eludes her. When Antichrist offers her peace, she will jump at the chance. Just as an expectant mother knows the approximate time of her child’s birth, we too can know the approximate time of Christ’s return (1 Thes. 5:1-6).
Matthew 24:34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. [KJV] Generation means time, age or age, group, but it can also mean nation. In the Bible it generally means a period of about 40 years (Num. 14:33; Heb. 3:9-10). Jesus could be talking about the nation Israel, for she will never pass away; or He could mean that the generation that sees the budding of the fig tree will also see the second coming of Christ. Just maybe Israel started budding on May 15, 1948 when she became a nation, but that would be more than 40 years ago.
This is a difficult statement by Jesus, and I am really not sure what He meant. But, of one thing I am sure, and that is Israel will never cease to be a special (peculiar) people to God.
Matthew 24:35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. [KJV] Heaven and Earth shall indeed pass away (2 Peter 3:10-13; Rev. 21:1), but the Word of the Lord is here to stay!
Matthew 24:36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. [KJV] How can so many brilliant people predict exactly when the end will come, when the only One who knows is God the Father? NO one knows for sure exactly when the Rapture will take place! We can have a general idea, because He has given us many signs, but NO one knows for sure!
Matthew 24:37 But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. [KJV] Christ will come very unexpectedly at the Rapture. Christ here shows us the state of the old world when the Flood came. People didn’t have a care in the world; they felt secure. They thought Noah was a crazy man to be building a boat in the middle of the desert. They simply didn’t believe Noah’s preaching! But all of a sudden, one day it started to rain; and it rained, and rained! Soon they were scratching on the ark’s door begging and screaming for Noah to let them in. But, Noah had not shut the door, God did (Gen.7:16). Noah had no say as to whether he could allow any into the safety of the ark. Only God did! God had given the people a hundred years to believe Noah, but they refused. Jesus is the ark today. One day, probably soon, God’s patience will wear thin with the people who reject and refuse Jesus. A day will come when they wished they had listened to the Message someone had spoken. But it will then be too late! Today, Jesus represents the ark. Are you safe inside?
Matthew 24:38-39 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. [KJV] Just what was going on in the days of Noah?
Genesis 6:5 And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. [KJV] Evil and wickedness! That’s what! What about our world today? The United States has turned its back on God! We are no longer a God fearing nation.
2 Timothy 3:2-5 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. [KJV] People love only themselves, NOT God or their fellow man. They lust after what their neighbor has. They boast of all they have or have accomplished. Pride won’t let them humble themselves before God. They blaspheme God with nearly every breath, including the favorite TV programs and movies. You would have to search far and wide before you could find an obedient child. People rarely ever say “thank you” any more. They are disrespectful and profane. Natural affection has flown out the window long ago; with women aborting their unborn children, and doctors with no feelings, that perform the surgery. People will quickly betray you instead of standing by you in friendship. Trucebreakers; it used to be you could shake hands on a contract, now even a signed paper isn’t any good. False accusers run rampant. Incontinent means no self control. Fierce means savage like a wild animal. Despisers of those that are good; a Christian is looked down upon. Traitors are betrayers. Heady is reckless. Highminded; those who are blinded by pride, drink or drugs. Lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God. People today live strictly for the pleasure this world can offer.
People have no qualms about living outside of marriage, and the homosexual life is common place today. Homosexuals teach our children in schools. Is any one objecting? Very few! Our pastor recently said in his sermon that if God doesn’t punish the USA, He will have to apologize to Sodom and Gomorrah. Are we living in the last times? What do you think? People are living just as they were before the Flood, as though God didn’t even exist!
Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof; many people out there are like the Pharisees, they know what the Bible states, they go through all the rituals of worship, but lack love and sincerity. We should stay away from such people. They hold to the outward form of religion, but reject its real power. They are professors, NOT possessors of Jesus. There’s a big difference to God!
Matthew 24:40-41 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. [KJV] These words strongly describe the suddenness of our Saviour’s coming at the Rapture! Men and women will be at their jobs, and suddenly Jesus will appear in the clouds. Are you prepared to meet Him if He came today? Can I stand before Him? Could you? Christ’s coming at the Rapture will be swift and sudden. The choice we have already made will determine whether we go with Him or not.
Matthew 24:42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. [KJV] To watch for Christ is to be in such a spirit of mind that we wouldn’t be sad if the Lord came today. Our Lord’s coming will be a joyous time to all those who are ready, but dreadful to those who are not.
Matthew 24:43-45 But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh. Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season? [KJV] Jesus uses two parables (a simple story with a some what hidden meaning) in the following verses. These parables illustrate the attitudes of people, and what will happen when He does come. Here, if the owner of a house knew the time when the thief would come, he would have stayed awake and not let the thief break into his house. So, too we must also be ready at all times. For Jesus will come when least expected. We must be faithful and wise servants.
Matthew 24:46-51 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods. But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken; The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of, And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. [KJV] We cannot live carelessly even though Christ has not yet come, for we do NOT know when He will come. There is an exact moment prepared for Christ to come. Remember, a day is as a thousand years to the Lord, and a thousand years as one day (2 Peter 3:9). We should live our lives in the light of the fact that we will one day stand in His awesome Presence. Are we ready? Will we be ashamed? Whether you are saved or lost, you my friend will absolutely stand in the Presence of the Almighty Judge! You CANNOT get out of it --- NO way, shape or form. I think there are those who think their great wealth, power or fame will make a difference. It won’t! God is NOT a respecter of persons (Acts 10:34; Rom.2:11; Col.3:25; 1 Pet.1:17). In fact; money, possessions, fame and power nearly always display the person’s great pride, which God hates.
If you are not a child of God (John 1:12-13) you are a child of the devil (1 John 3:10). We all start out being children of the devil because of the original sin of Adam; but we need not stay that way. All those who choose (yes, choose) to be Satan’s children, will have Hell for eternity. When He comes, may our Lord Jesus declare us blessed and present us faultless (Jude 24) to the Father; washed in His precious Blood, purified by His Holy Spirit, and fit to share in the inheritance God has promised.
When Jesus comes in the clouds, with a shout and the voice of the archangel (1 Thes.4:16), will you be going to your home on high?
Parable of the Ten Virgins Chapter 7
Chapter 25 of Matthew amplifies upon the answer to the question: “What shall be the sign of Thy Coming?” (Mat.24:3).
The parable of the ten virgins is the basis for those who believe in the ‘partial Rapture.’ I agree with a well known Bible teacher that to believe in the partial Rapture is spiritual snobbery, for I have never met anyone who didn’t think they were in the group with the “five wise virgins.” I don’t think anyone considers themselves classed with the “five foolish virgins.”
I thank the Lord that when the Rapture occurs, it will be for the entire church, EVERY believer will then go to be with the Lord Jesus. We are saved by the grace of God, we are kept by His grace, we will leave at the Rapture by His grace; NOT by anything we do!
The ten virgins do NOT refer to the church, they refer to Israel.
Matthew 25:1 Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. [KJV] This parable portrays Christ as the Bridegroom. The wedding of Christ and His bride (the church) takes place when the church is raptured; while the Great Tribulation is taking place on Earth. At the end of the Tribulation, Christ will come back to Earth with His bride, the church. After the wedding the bridegroom and bride returned to the groom’s house where a feast took place, often lasting a full week. These ten virgins were waiting to join the procession, and hoped to take part in the wedding banquet.
Matthew 25:2-4 And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. [KJV] Oil is a symbol of the Holy Spirit of God (Ps.45:7; 89:20; Zech.4:12). In the end times, there will be phonies out there the same as there were when Jesus was on Earth. Jesus had a name for them: “hypocrites”! They have “lamps” but will have no “oil” for those lamps.
Matthew 25:5-7 While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. [KJV] The groom did not come when he was expected. If you notice, both the wise and foolish virgins slept. The difference was that the wise virgins had oil (the Holy Spirit), the foolish ones did not. They were not true believers.
Matthew 25:8-12 And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut. Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not. [KJV] An outward profession of faith may light a man’s path in this world; but the dark valley of the shadow of death will extinguish these hypocrites’ flickering light. Those that would be saved, must have grace of their own; it cannot be bought or borrowed. And those that have the most grace, have none to spare. Even the best Christians need more grace from Christ. The suddenness of death and of Christ’s Coming, will not hinder our happiness, if we are prepared. “The door was shut.” A SAD statement! Many will seek admission into Heaven when it is too late. The worthless confidence of hypocrites will carry them far in expecting happiness; but reality will instead bring unending sadness and agony.
Matthew 25:13 Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh. [KJV] “Watch therefore.” We ALL must attend to the business of our souls. We ALL must be in the fear of the Lord all the day long.
Even if you don’t think this parable refers to the Jews, but to the church; Christ has not yet come, so as Christians we must profess and honor Christ, and to be waiting for His Coming. Sincere Christians would be the wise virgins, and hypocrites the foolish ones. We are talking about being wise or foolish in the affairs of our eternal souls. NOTHING is more important! Many profess Christ with their mouth, but do not possess Him in their hearts. Their hearts are not made holy by the Spirit of God. Our light must shine before men; and this is not likely unless there is true love for Christ in our heart.
Parable of the Talents Chapter 8
Matthew 25:14-15 For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods. And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey. [KJV] Christ does not want His servants to be idle. The old saying goes: “Idle hands are the devil’s workshop.” All His servants have received their all from Him. Nothing we have can we call our own . . . except sin. What we receive from Christ is in a way, our order to go to work. The Holy Spirit is given to every man to profit him and those he comes in contact with. Our gifts and talents He gives must not be used selfishly, but in service to the church. Christ gives to each person according to their individual abilities. He then waits to see just how you will use your “talents.”
Matthew 25:16-17 Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents. And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two. [KJV] The talents here represent money, not natural talent we inherit such as music, art, etc. The applying of this parable to us is that no matter what God has given us, we should use in serving Him and our fellow man.
Matthew 25:18 But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord's money. [KJV] All were given sums of money and told to use them to benefit the Master. The one servant buried his money. He was not faithful to the Master.
Matthew 25:19-24 After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them. And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more. His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them. His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed: And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine. [KJV] After giving the servants the talents, the master went on a long journey. He didn’t tell them when He would return. The Master in this parable is Jesus. He has gone on a journey, and He said we will not know the exact time that He will return. Of the three servants in this parable, two did as they should have. They used the talents and the amount of money doubled when the master came back. But the third servant was unfaithful with his time and talent. So many people are “afraid” to obey the Master; afraid of what people might think or say, afraid of being rejected by family or friends, afraid of being persecuted for Jesus’ sake, etc. BUT, IF you are afraid (ashamed) of Jesus, He one day shall be ashamed of you. Mark 8:38 Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels. (KJV)
Matthew 25:26-30 His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed: Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury. Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents. For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath. And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. [KJV] The lesson in this parable is very clear. The day of accounting will finally come for ALL of us. The Master will evaluate each and every one of us as to what we have done with our talent or talents. You and I will stand before the glorious Presence of Almighty God and give account for everything we have OR have not done.
Things to consider: (1.) find out what talent He has given you, (2.) find out what He wants you to do with it, and (3.) be faithful in using it. Sometimes people get upset when they find out they are just “one talent” servants. Their pride thinks they are worthy of more!
But whether God gives you three, two or one talents, be faithful. We must remember, to whom much is given, much is required (Luke 12:48).
It is our Christian liberty and privilege to be the Redeemer’s servant, to promote His glory, and the good of His people. Because of the love of Christ, we no longer live to ourselves, but to Him that died, and rose again (for us). The slothful servant will lose his talent, and his doom will be to be cast into outer darkness (Hell). What words do you want to hear? “Well done, Thy good and faithful servant” (Mat. 25:21) OR "Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire" (Mat. 25:41)?
Luke 16:9-11 And I say unto you, Make to yourselves friends of the mammon of unrighteousness; that, when ye fail, they may receive you into everlasting habitations. He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much. If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches? (KJV) Our generosity stores up a reward for us in Heaven. Unless we are faithful in small matters, we will never be faithful in larger ones. If we cheat or lie even a little bit, we won't be honest with greater responsibilities. And if we are not trustworthy about worldly wealth, how can God trust us with the true riches of Heaven? Our honesty often meets its match in money matters. God demands that we be honest even in smallest details; those that we could easily rationalize away. Heaven’s riches are far more valuable than any and all earthly wealth. But if we can’t be trusted with our money here (no matter how much or little we have), we are utterly unfit to handle the vast riches of God’s Kingdom. Don’t let your integrity slip in small matters, and it will never fail you in crucial decisions either. A true Christian must always be faithful and honest. Imitate Jesus! Judgment of the Nations Chapter 9
Matthew 25:31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: [KJV]
In this chapter, Jesus warns God’s people that we must be ready for His Coming. In the Great Tribulation Period, the Gospel will be preached by the 144,000 Jewish evangelists (Rev.7), by the two witnesses (Rev.11), and by an angel (Rev.14:6). NO one will have the chance to say: “I never heard the Gospel,” for it will be preached to ALL peoples in ALL parts of the Earth! But, like many today, they will reject God’s servants, thus rejecting Jesus!
Matthew 25:32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: [KJV] This is a description of the last judgment, and it further explains the former two parables. There IS a judgment to come. It’s as good as done! If you think it will not happen, you are 100% wrong! Every person shall be sentenced to either a state of everlasting happiness, OR everlasting misery. Christ shall come, not only in the glory of His Father, but in His own glory, as our Mediator.
Matthew 25:33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. [KJV] The godly and the wicked live together here on Earth; in the same cities, same churches, same families, and many times people can’t tell them apart, because of the weaknesses of saints, and the hypocrisies of wicked (unbelievers). But on Judgment Day, they will no longer live together side by side; they will be separated for ever. Christ Jesus is the great Shepherd; and His own He knows, also those that are not His.
Matthew 25:34-40 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. [KJV] Just what is the Kingdom? It is called the Kingdom of God in Matthew 6:33; Mark 1:14, 15; Luke 4:43. It is called the Kingdom of Christ in Matthew 13:41; 20:21. It is called the Kingdom of Christ and of God in Ephesians 5:5. It is called the Kingdom of David in Mark 11:10. It is called the Kingdom in Matthew 8:12; 13:19. It is called the Kingdom of Heaven in Matthew 3:2; 4:17; 13:41. They all express the same thing in different ways: (1.) Christ's intercessory authority, or His rule on the Earth; (2.) all the blessings and advantages of all kinds that flow from His rule; (3.) the subjects of this Kingdom taken altogether (the church), because as of today, the Kingdom is only in the hearts of TRUE believers.
This Kingdom has been prepared for us from the foundation of the world (Eph.1:4). The Father provided it for us in His greatness, His wisdom and His power. The Son purchased it for us; and the Holy Spirit is preparing us for the Kingdom and the Kingdom for us! We shall inherit it. We did not earn it; God in His grace made us heirs. . . . http://www.hisservants.org/books_our_awesome_triune_god.html
During the Tribulation period, the Gospel of the Kingdom will be preached a little differently, in this respect: Receive Christ as the Sacrifice for your sins, and be ready for His immediate Coming. Some entire nations will reject Him! The Antichrist and his cohorts will have God’s messengers literally butchered; and anyone who is bold and faithful to offer one of these servants a cup of cold water will do so at the risk of their own life. Today, to offer someone a cup of water means nothing; but in the Great Tribulation it will be completely different! Then, it will mean taking a stand for Jesus!
The foundation on which nations will be judged is their acceptance or rejection of Christ. Condemned sinners will vainly offer excuses. The punishment of the wicked (unbelievers) will be everlasting punishment, which cannot and will not be altered in any way. Life and death, good and evil, the blessing and the curse, are before us; we, on our own, choose our way, and that way shall be our end. BEWARE!!!
Matthew 25:45-46 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me. And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal. [KJV] Jesus says, inasmuch as we have done something to one of the least of His brethren, we have done it unto Him! Have we fed the hungry . . . physically or spiritually? Have we given a drink to a thirsty one . . . physically or spiritually? Have we shown hospitality to a stranger? Have we seen someone naked and given them clothing? Have you visited the sick or disabled, or visited someone in prison? Do we offer a shoulder to cry on? Have we given a hug to a lonely soul? How about a smile? Sometimes something as little as smiling at a stranger might make their day! If we do these little, loving, caring things to those around us, it is the same as doing them to Jesus!
This parable shows acts of mercy we all can do every day. They do not depend on wealth, ability or intelligence; just acts freely given. God is merciful to us; we must be merciful to those around us. Is the love of Jesus in your heart? Eternal punishment is Hell (the lake of fire), the place of punishment after death for ALL who refuse to repent. This is the final and eternal state of the wicked after their resurrection and the last judgment. When Jesus warns against unbelief, He is lovingly trying to save us from an agonizing and eternal punishment. Have you chosen wisely?
REWARD? OR LOSS?
As you consider at the set of sun,
Counting the good deeds that you have done.
Did you do those things to glorify,
Our loving Saviour, in His Home on High?
As you reflect o’er the day that’s past,
Will things you’ve done, in eternity last?
All our works will be tried, one by one,
All motives will be judged by God’s Son.
A reward will be giv’n if our works stand,
All we do for Christ, while in this land.
All works done selfishly will be burned,
All our proud motives will be spurned.
Before the Great Judge, we’ll stand one day,
Do you know my friend, what you will say?
In His awesome Presence, truth will out,
We’ll suffer loss; OR we’ll sing and shout!
By: His servant, Connie Kramer July 15; 1997 # 373 (1 Cor. 3:11-15)
Many great and wonderful things are done in the world today; but did you know that unless your motives are right, no matter how many good or how many great things you do, unless what you do glorifies Almighty God, nothing will be held to your account. If you do good and then insist on praise and honor for it, you already have your reward (Mat.6:1-18; 16:27).
THE JUDGMENT TO COME
There’s nothing covered that He won’t reveal,
God, in truth and justice, with us will deal!
There’s nothing hid, that shall not be known,
All we try to hide, will one day be shown!
Our ev’ry work shall God bring to judgment,
Unless we mourn, and truly repent.
Be it good, or bad; ev’ry single thing,
One day, God, will ‘fore the courts of Christ bring.
God will one day judge the secrets of men,
We can hide nothing from God; now, or then,
Can one hide himself in a secret place?
One day all will stand before His Face!
And be sure your sin will find you out,
It won’t do you well to mutter or pout.
There won’t be any way you can hide,
For our God can see the whole world wide.
All will be judged one day soon to come,
And we’ll be shown to our eternal home!
The Judgment Seat of Christ; or Great White Throne,
Is where we’ll face the Great Judge; all alone.
By: His servant, Connie Kramer Dec.31,1997 # 445
Every person who has ever lived, will stand before the Great and Almighty Judge one day, all alone! You will have no one to help you! You will not be able to hide anything! And you will KNOW the verdict will be just and right.
JESUS SHALL COME
Jesus shall come, from Heav’n descending,
With a thousand thousand, saints attending.
Coming, He shall bring an end to wars,
He’ll be our King; and stop all horrors.
Heav’n shall open, to a great white horse,
The One astride, is Jesus, of course!
His eyes shall be as a flame of fire,
Believers look for this day with great desire!
Upon His Head, are many diadems,
He’ll have a new Name, known by none but Him.
Clothed in a garment, sprinkled with Blood,
And His Name is called, The Word of God!
Armies on white horses, follow Him,
Clothed in white linen, pure and prim.
Out of His mouth, shall come a sharp sword,
He is KING of KINGS, and LORD of LORDS!
Antichrist and all the kings of this Earth,
Gather, and bring all their armies forth.
In vain are their efforts, against this KING,
A tremendous vict’ry will our God bring!
The Beast and False Prophet, will Christ take,
And cast them live, into the Fiery Lake.
There for eternity, they shall dwell,
In the agonizing, pits of Hell!
By: His servant, Connie Kramer Apr.12,2000 #683
This refers to Christ’s Second Coming, not the Rapture.
PAYDAY FOR LOST SOULS
Payday will come for all lost souls,
All those not found on Heav’n’s roll.
God’s grace is gone! His wrath does start!
For from His Son, you did depart!
Rejecting Christ thru’ unbelief,
Will cause lost souls eternal grief.
The wages of sin is death, my friend,
You’ll go to Hell, where pain won’t end.
Unbelief to God is the worst sin,
Is today; always has been!
It’s telling God He is a liar,
Your payday will be, the ‘Lake of Fire’.
Payday will come on ‘Judgment Day’,
The ‘Righteous Judge’ you will not sway.
The ‘Books’ will be, opened wide,
There’ll be NO place, for you to hide.
You can avoid ‘Payday in Hell’,
Instead you can, in Heaven dwell!
Believe and accept what God has said,
Trust Christ to save; you’ve nought to dread.

With righteousness Christ shall judge the poor,
Corrupt judges are gone; that’s is sure!
The strong will not exploit nor oppress,
For the meek and the poor: happiness!
‘Twill be a great time of calm and peace,
All wars and conflict did end and cease.
The wolf also shall dwell with the sheep,
The cow and the bear, shall feed and sleep.
The leopard shall lie down with the kid,
The calf, young lion, and fatling amid!
A little child, them will lead and play,
‘Twill be a wondrous time in that day.
Babies will play on the hole of a snake,
And what a wonder! no danger at stake!
No fear or violence in that day,
No hating each other; but love, alway.
Each man will work to live; and be glad,
Giving to the lazy, is a lost fad!
Ev’ry man shall sit under his own tree,
There shall be peace; and all shall be free.
By: His servant, Connie Kramer Mar.29,1996 #183 . . . (Isaiah ch.11)
Only the coming of our Lord can make this possible! People pray for peace . . . why? It’s a lost cause! The Bible says there will be no peace (Jer. 6:14; 8:11), not until Jesus comes back!
