False Teacher Max Lucado EXPOSED!
2 Timothy 4:3-4 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. (KJV)
Max Lucado is a best-selling “Christian” author and well-known pastor. . . . ("Christian" author?????) Lucado has written 60 books with over 65 million copies in print, and currently serves as senior minister at Oak Hills Church (formerly Oak Hills Church of Christ) in San Antonio, Texas.
Lucado was named “America's Pastor” by apostate Christianity Today magazine and in 2005 was named by Reader's Digest as “The Best Preacher in America.”
Mr. Lucado has been featured on The Fox News Channel, NBC Nightly News, Larry King Live, USA Today, and a bunch of other worldly shows.
Luke 6:26 Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets. (KJV)
Max Lucado is an ecumenical false prophet, who teaches the Church of Christ's false doctrine that salvation is sealed by baptism. Lucado falsely claims that he does not believe in Baptismal Regeneration, BUT he teaches that water baptism is necessary to be sealed.
"Baptism effectively seals our salvation."
"In baptism God signs and seals our conversion to him."
On Max Lucado's website, in the article:
Lucado states: “Baptism separates the tire kickers from the car buyers.”
Those are some dangerous and deceptive words. IF a person does not get water baptized, they are only kicking the tires of salvation; but not buying it? THAT is what Lucado is teaching! He certainly IS teaching Baptismal Regeneration.
Lucado believes that water baptism is necessary to achieve salvation. That is NOT what the Bible says! First of all, salvation is FREE! (Isa.55:1; Rom.3:24; 5:1-2; Rev.22:17). And salvation is a GIFT from God (John 3:16; Rom.6:23; 2 Cor.9:15; Eph.2:8-9; 1 John 5:11).
The thief on the cross was NOT baptised! (Luke 23:43). I believe IF a person is able, he/she should be baptised be immersion, to show the world you take a stand with Jesus. BUT . . . baptism is NOT required for salvation. What about death bed conversions? If a person finally believes God (1 John 5:10-12) and accepts His only begotten Son to save them (John 3:16), and is not able to be baptized, is that person still lost? NO! Absolutely NOT! Water baptism does NOT save a person!
Lucado speaks out of both sides of his mouth, which is what ALL Ecumenical, New World Order (NWO) false prophets do! What is a NWO order false prophet? Greedy men who have been selected by the devil to corrupt the masses so they will be ready when the Antichrist comes into the picture. The one world church of Revelation is well on its way!
Baptismal Regeneration is a demonic, damnable heresy of devils, a works-based salvation which goes against what the Bible teaches! The Bible NEVER tells anyone to be water baptized in order to be saved. Max Lucado says that baptism seals our salvation. That is NOT what the Bible teaches. The Bible teaches that those who BELIEVE are sealed with the Holy Spirit. Ephesians 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, (KJV)
The following quote came from the Oak Hills Church of Christ official Internet web site — updated 7/15/95; copied 7/12/96; and re-verified 2/98 (The Oak Hills Church pulled this statement from their web site in 1999, apparently due to complaints from evangelicals, and replaced it with a rather generic statement):
"It is necessary to respond to God's free offer of salvation by faith, repentance, and baptism. As we confess Christ as our Lord and are baptized by immersion, God meets us, forgives our sins and gives us the gift of the Holy Spirit that empowers each of us."
This is typical Church of Christ false doctrine. Most Christians are not aware that Max Lucado is the pastor of the Oak Hills Church of Christ. Sadly, most Christians are not even aware that the Church of Christ adds water baptism to the Gospel; and by doing so, perverts it. It teaches "another gospel" and THAT gospel CANNOT save any one!
Lucado falsely teaches that water baptism is an initial sign of being saved. There is absolutely NO such teaching in the Bible.
"True believers not only offer their sins, they yield their wills to Christ. Baptism is the initial test of a believing heart."
1 John 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. (KJV) . . . This tells us clearly WHY the Apostle John wrote his Epistle . . . so that we could KNOW that we have eternal life. John never mentions "baptism" even once. Nor does he mention it in the Gospel of John. John 20:31 But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name. (KJV) . . . IF water baptism were necessary for salvation, the beloved apostle certainly would have known and most certainly would have told us!
There is much more I found out about Max Lucado, but I feel too ill at ease to put it here. Some of it turns my stomach! If you want more, this site tells it like it is:
