Sins of the Wicked
#1. The wicked are hypocrites, act religious but remain in sin.
#2. The wicked enjoy their atrocities.
#3. The wicked refuse to answer God's call. Isaiah 66:4 I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them; because when I called, none did answer; when I spake, they did not hear: but they did evil before mine eyes, and chose that in which I delighted not. (KJV)
#4. The wicked refuse to hear God's voice.
#5. The wicked do evil in God's sight.
#6. The wicked choose things that God hates.
Characteristics of Wicked Men:
#1. Lovers of themselves, selfish (2 Tim.3:2).
#2. Covetous, greedy (Lk.12:15; Rom.1:29; Col.3:3; 2 Tim.3:2).
#3. Boasters, braggarts; self-exalted (Rom.1:30; 2 Thes.2:4; 2 Tim.3:2; Jam 4:16; 2 Pet.2:18).
#4. Proud, self-importance (Pro.6:17; 1 Tim.6:4; 2 Tim.3:2; Jam.4:6).
#5. Blasphemers (Mat.12:31; 2 Tim.3:2; Jude 1:10; Rev.13:1,5-6; 16:9,11.21)
#6. Disobedient to parents, head-strong (Mat.15:6; Mk.7:11-12; Rom.1:30; 2 Tim.3:2).
#7. Unthankful, ungrateful (2 Tim.3:2).
#8. Unholy, no piety; no reverence (1 Tim.1:9; 2 Tim.3:2).
#9. Without natural affection, those who abort children, perverts; homosexuals; sodomites. (Ex.20:13; Lev.18:22-24; 20:13-16; Rom.1:24-32; 1 Cor.6:9-11; 1 Tim.1:8-11; 2 Tim.3:3).
#10. Trucebreakers (Ps.15:4; Eze.17:15-19; Rom.1:31; 2 Tim.3:3; Rev.21:8).
#11. False accusers, slanderer; adversary (Mat.4:1; Jn.6:70; 1 Tim.3:11; 2 Tim.3:3).
#12. Incontinent, no control of appetites and passions (1 Cor.7:5,9; 2 Tim.3:3; 2 Pet.2:14,19; 3:3; Jude 1:16,18)
#13. Fierce, wild; savage; uncivilized (Gen.49:7; Dan.8:23; 2 Tim.3:3; Rev.13:15,17; 16:6; 17:6).
#14. Despisers of good men (Ps.22:6; Isa.53:3; 60:14; Lk.10:16; 16:14; 1 Thes.4:8; 2 Tim.3:3).
#15. Traitors, betrayers (Lk.6:16; Acts 7:52; 2 Tim.3:4; 2 Pet.2:10-22; Jude 1:8-9).
#16. Heady, rash; hasty; reckless (2 Tim.3:4).
#17. Highminded, senseless; conceited (Rom.11:20; 1 Tim.6:17; 2 Tim.3:4).
#18. Lovers of pleasure, physical satisfaction is their god (2 Tim.3:4). Lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God . . . this really does characterize mankind in our day. NEVER has there been a time when so much money has been spent in order to provide pleasure. Sports and entertainment events today are attracting millions of people. That is exactly the route Rome took when it went down. The mob was provided with food and circuses, and then Rome fell. That same thing is happening today. The government supports people who are well able to work. This is WRONG!!
#19. Having a form of godliness (Isa.29:13; 48:1-2; 58:1-3; Eze.33:30-32; Mat.7:15; 23:27-28; Rom.2:20-24; 1 Tim.5:8; 2 Tim.3:5; Tit.1:1). Their religion is only in their creed and formal confession of faith, NOT in their hearts.
#20. Denying the power of godliness Rom.16:17-18; Eph.4:14; 2 Thes.3:6,14; 1 Tim.6:5; 2 Tim.2:16,23; 3:5; Tit.3:10; 2 Jn.1:10-12). This is someone destitute of godliness, having no faith that someone can be godly in this life. From such turn away!
#21. Use their show of piety to gain entrance into homes to deceive (Mat.23:14; 2 Tim.3:6; Tit.1:11; Jude 1:4).
#22. Lead captive silly women laden with sins (Ps.38:4; Isa.1:4; Mk.4:19; 1 Tim.6:9; 2 Tim. 3:6; Tit.3:3; 2 Pet.2:18; Jude 1:16,18). Lust always smooth the way for these to justify it against the thoughts of their conscience. Their vices, rather than sex, makes them easily seduced.
#23. Ever learning falsehoods but never the knowledge of the truth (Deut.29:4; Pro.14:6; Isa.30:10-11; Eze.14:4-10; Mat.13:11; Jn.5:44; 12:42-43; 1 Cor.3:1-4; Eph.4:14; 2 Tim.3:7; 4:3-4; Heb.5:11)
#24. Resist truth (1Ki.22:22-24; Acts 13:8-11; 15:24; Gal.1:7-9; 2:4-5; Eph.4:14; 2 Thes.2:9-11; 2 Tim.3:8; 4:15; Tit.1:10; 2 Pet.2:1-3; 1 Jn.4:1; Rev.2:6,14-15,20)
#25. Have corrupt minds (Acts 8:21-22; Rom.1:28; 16:18; 2 Cor.11:13-15; 1 Tim.1:19; 4:2; 6:5; 2 Tim.3:8; Tit.1:16; 2 pet.2:14; Jude 1:18-19).
#26. Reprobate concerning faith (Jer.6:30; 1 Cor.9:27; 2 Cor.13:6-7; Rom.1:28; 2 Tim.3:8; Tit.1:16; Heb.6:8).
#27. Evil men get worse and worse (1 Tim.4:1; 2 Tim. 2:17-17; 3:8,13; 2 Thes.2:6-10; 2 Pet.2:20; 3:3; Rev.12:9; 13:14; 18:23).
#28. They seduce women, entice them to surrender chastity (2 Tim.3:6,13). Lust always smooth the way for these to justify it against the thoughts of their conscience. Their vices, rather than sex, makes them easily seduced.
#29. They increase in evil (2 Tim.3:13). The character of evil men tends to worsen with each passing day.
#30. They deceive and are themselves deceived (2 Tim.3:13). The worst victims of delusion are those who try to delude others.
