What God’s Word States About
What Happens at the Rapture?

This is what the BIBLE says shall happen at the rapture:

#1. The Rapture begins with Jesus. 1 Thes. 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: (KJV) . . . His Arrival in the sky will set everything in motion, when He returns WITH “them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him" (1 Thes. 4:14). I love this! Jesus, Himself, shall come for us! He will NOT send angels to do this job!

#2. We will hear Jesus’ voice and the sound of a trumpet. 1 Thes. 4:16  For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: (KJV) . . . This verse also tells us that Jesus “will descend…with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trump of God.” Dear one, on the Day of Pentecost, there were NO angels. The Holy Spirit Himself came down. When the Lord Jesus takes His church out of the world, the Lord Himself shall descend from Heaven. There will be NO angels. Angels are connected with Israel but NOT with the church.
He will descend from heaven with a shout . . . meaning a voice of command, the SAME Voice Jesus used when He stood at the tomb of Lazarus and said, "Lazarus, come forth" (Jn.11:43).
And the voice of the archangel . . . WHOA! Isn't that an angel connected with the Rapture? No, it is Jesus’ Voice that will be LIKE the voice of an archangel, meaning the quality of His Voice, the majesty and the authority of it.
And with the trump of God . . . will there be trumpets there? No, I think it is His Voice that will be like a trumpet. How can we be sure of this? Rev. 1:10 I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet, (KJV) . . . John said Jesus’ Voice sounded like a trumpet! John turned to see who it was, and he saw the glorified Christ. It is the voice of the glorified Christ that is like the sound of a trumpet.

3. The dead in Christ will rise first. 1 Thes. 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: (KJV) . . . The Lord Jesus will NOT need the help of the achangel Gabriel. The Lord Jesus did NOT need Gabriel to help Him raise Lazarus from the dead, and He will NOT need anyone to help Him when He calls His Church . . . their bodies will come up out of the graves. There are those who ask: What about those burned to death? What about those cremated? What about those lost at sea? To me, these are stupid questions! WHO was it that created these bodies out of the dust of the ground? Don’t you think He can restore those supposed destroyed bodies? With God, all things are possible (Mk.9:23). See: Rapture, Second Coming: . . . . . . . . . . . . http://www.hisservants.org/rapture,_second_coming_h_s.htm

Our Lord Jesus will raise from the dead ALL those who have died “in Christ” from the Day of Pentecost to the time of the Rapture. They will be the first to meet the Lord in the air as Jesus joins their resurrected bodies with their souls. The resurrection of church age saints happens immediately when the Rapture begins.

4. The Lord will then give those believers who are alive at the time of the Rapture immortal and imperishable bodies.
Phil. 3:20-21 For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: 21 Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.  (KJV)
1 Cor. 15:51-54 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54  o when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. (KJV)
1 John 3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. (KJV) Have you ever considered what it will be like to NEVER sisn again? I have, and I cannot even begin to imagine it! We shall have bodies like that of Jesus . . . who NEVER ever sinned in His life! I'm ready Lord!

5. The Rapture will happen FAST! For those of us who are alive at the time of the Rapture, the change in our bodies will happen “in the twinkling of an eye”. 1 Cor. 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. (KJV). We will instantly receive our glorified bodies.

6. At the same moment He gives us immortal bodies, Jesus will catch up those of us “who are alive, who are left…in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air”. 1 Thes. 4:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. (KJV) . . . We who are alive at the Rapture, will then join those saints in the sky with our Lord Jesus, who have ben resurrected from dead and forever, and we all shall forever “be with the Lord.” This is why we Christians SO desire the Lord's Coming at the Rapture!

7. Our destination will be Heaven. John 14:2-3 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. (KJV) The Lord is preparing a place in Heaven (1 Pet.1:4), and He will take us there when He appears. Col. 3:4 When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory. (KJV) . . . This represents our leaving our temporary home on Earth and moving to our permanent home in Heaven.

The above gives us an idea of what we can expect when the Lord Jesus comes to take us Home at the Rapture. Here are the two Passages on the Rapture that are found in God's Holy Word:
1 Thes. 4:13-18 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. 15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. 16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words. (KJV)
1 Cor. 15:50-58 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. 51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. 55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? 56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. (KJV)

?When Will The Rapture Take Place?

Different views of the Rapture:

https://www.worldlychaos.org/w_c_what_is_postmillenialism.htm
https://www.worldlychaos.org/w_c_what_is_premillenialism.htm

Most who are premillennialists think that the Rapture will start BEFORE the seven-year Tribulation Period. Premillennialists are those who believe in the acurancy of Bible Prophecy which includes the seven-year Tribulation and the Thousand-year reign of Jesus.

Some premillennialists place the Rapture in the middle of the Tribulation or toward the end of it. The Bible describes Jesus’ return for His church much different than His Second Coming. The two CANNOT possibly be the same event.

The Lord Jesus wants us to build up each other in the faith with our shared hope in Jesus’ appearing to take us home to Heaven. Dear one, the Rapture is the basis of our hope! The Rapture is our “blessed hope” it is the HOPE whereby Jesus saves us. Rom. 8:23-25 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body. 24 For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? 25 But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it. (KJV)

The apostle Paul connects the “redemption of our bodies,” which happens at the time of the Rapture, with the “hope” of the Gospel. The resurrection event for ALL New Testament saints happens at Jesus’ return for His church, the Rapture. The Rapture constitutes the substance of our hope; because it signifies the time when we shall KNOW the eternal life that became ours through faith.

No one knows when the Rapture will take place, but according to prophecies, we will face increasing persecution because of our faith and maybe even suffer physically because of our faith . . . OR maybe Jesus may come today. We do NOT know when He shall come in the clouds . . . so, we must be watching!

Matthew 25:13 Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh. (KJV)

Watch therefore . . . in prayer, public and private, in hearing or studying the Word, at the Lord's Supper, in all our words, actions and life, and against all sin and unbelief, Satan's temptations, the world and its charms and snares, false teachers, and their doctrines, WATCH for the Bridegroom's Coming. This is the application of the whole parable, and shows the general plan of it . . . WHY?? Should we be so watchful?
For ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the son of man cometh . . . this is the reason of the parable of the Ten Virgins. This is the great Truth that Christ wished to instill, and all parts of the parable are to be interpreted in reference to this warning. Like the foolish virgins, many are professing to be “Christians”. . . but they are nothing but “hypocrites” (Mat.23), on which the Lord Jesus pronounces many “woes.” Like the coming of the Bridegroom, whose arrival will be sudden, it shall be to many at an unexpected time. They will not be expecting Him! Many today, even professing Christians, will be busy in the world; never thinking about eternity; not expecting His approach, and not at all prepared. They will only PROFESS to know Him, but do not POSSESS Him in their hearts and lives, and in WORKS, they deny Him. All approaches of the Son of God to judge men are sudden, and to many not expected. So too, many, when they shall see Him coming, at death or in judgment, will begin, like the foolish virgins, start to prepare to die; but it will be too late. Those, like the wise virgins that are ready will enter in, and then Heaven’s door will be closed to the foolish ones, and forever against all other foolish ones at the last judgment (Rev.20:15). The "coming" of the Saviour is absolutely certain! The exact time "when" He will come is NOT certain. Just as all the virgins should have watched and been ready, so too should we, in this uncertain world. Those who are faithful and sincere Christians should always be watching; and those who are not ready, should lose no more time getting ready, for in such an hour as they think not the Son of man shall come. Please do not wait until it is too late and He shuts the door on you.

When we check Scriptures, we can see that the Rapture is a real event. It’s not something that agrees with human wisdom, but is something the Lord Jesus revealed to His apostles (1 Thes. 4:15; 1 Cor. 15:51) so that we might have hope and encourage each other no matter what we face.

Ten Purposes For the Rapture

#1. To receive saints to Himself as promised (1 Thes.4:17; Jn.14:1-5; Eph.5:27)
#2. To separate and resurrect the dead in Christ from among the wicked dead (1 Thes.4:14-17; Phil.3:11; Rev.20:4-6)
#3. To take saints to Heaven to live in the New Jerusalem and receive rewards due them, or losss of rewards they could have had (1 Thes. 3:13; 4:17; Jn.14:1-3; 1 Cor.3:13-15; 2 Cor.5:10; Heb.12:22-23; Rev. 19:1-10; 21:9-10)
#4. To change bodies of saints from corruption to incorruption and immortality (1 Thes.4:16-17; 1 Cor.15:35-58; Phil.3:21)
#5. To present saints before God (1 Thes.3:13; 4:17; Jn.14:1-3; Jude 1:24; Rev.19:1-10)
#6. To make saints perfect in body, soul and spirit (1 Thes.4:16-17; 5:23; Phil.3:21)
#7. To receive the fruit of the early and latter rain (Jam.5:7; Jn.14:1-3)
#8. To remove the saints before the Great Tribulation (1 Thes.1:10; Rev.3:10; 1 Thes.4:16-17; 5:9)
#9. To remove the One who hinders lawlessness (2 Thes.2:7; Rev.4:1)
#10. To reveal the Antichrist (Dan.7:8; 8:9; 9:26-27; 2 Thes.2:3; 1 Jn.2:18; :3; 2 Jn.1:7)
