Restoration of the Land of Israel
The desert shall bloom.
Leviticus 26:5 And your threshing shall reach unto the vintage, and the vintage shall reach unto the sowing time: and ye shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land safely. (KJV)
Isaiah 27:6 He shall cause them that come of Jacob to take root: Israel shall blossom and bud, and fill the face of the world with fruit. (KJV)
Isaiah 35:1-2 The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose. 2 It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joy and singing: the glory of Lebanon shall be given unto it, the excellency of Carmel and Sharon, they shall see the glory of the LORD, and the excellency of our God. (KJV)
Ezekiel 36:35 And they shall say, This land that was desolate is become like the garden of Eden; and the waste and desolate and ruined cities are become fenced, and are inhabited. (KJV)
Joel 3:18 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the mountains shall drop down new wine, and the hills shall flow with milk, and all the rivers of Judah shall flow with waters, and a fountain shall come forth of the house of the LORD, and shall water the valley of Shittim. (KJV)
Israel is now the breadbasket of the Mideast exporting food all over the world.
Israel will grow more than one crop a year.
When the Jews return to the land, they will grow several crops a year, because of the advanced irrigation in Israel this is a reality today.
Amos 9:11-13 In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof; and I will raise up his ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old: 12 That they may possess the remnant of Edom, and of all the heathen, which are called by my name, saith the LORD that doeth this. 13 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him that soweth seed; and the mountains shall drop sweet wine, and all the hills shall melt. (KJV)
The land of Israel lay desolate for almost two thousand years because her people were dispersed by the Romans all over the world in 70 A.D. By the turn of the twentieth century, the whole land of Israel was desolate! The part that was not desert was mostly malaria-infested swamps.
Since the return of the Jewish people, the swamps have been drained and some of the best agriculture technology has been applied. Much of the land today have beautiful crops growing. The variety of crops is astounding!
Isaiah tells us the day would come when Israel would blossom and bud and fill the face of the world with fruit (Isaiah 27:6). This prophecy is absolutely being fulfilled as Israel has become one of few food-exporting countries in the world, which means they export more than they import.
Writing about Israel, Amos 9:11-13 foretold that the plowman would overtake the reaper. In other words, Israel would become a land of thriving agriculture. In spite of much political turmoil, and against all odds, Israel today is an agricultural wonder! To say that Israel is experiencing a restoration of their land is a vast understatement!
