God Loves Israel, Always Has, Always will!
WHY do people wonder if God has changed His mind about Israel? Dear one . . . HE HAS NOT! He feels the exact way for Israel today as He always has! WHY do some think that He has rejected His Promised Messiah Jesus? WHY do some think that the Old and New Testaments do not agree as regarding God’s love for Israel? If you feel like the above . . . please consider the following Scriptures. It should prove to you that Israel’s place in God’s heart has NOT changed one little bit!
God’s Awesome Love for Israel
God chose Israel on whom to set His affection.
Deu. 10:15 Only the LORD had a delight in thy fathers to love them, and he chose their seed after them, even you above all people, as it is this day. (KJV)
Israel is God’s treasured possession.
Deut. 7:6 For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God: the LORD thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth. (KJV)
Israel is precious to God.
Isaiah 43:1 But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine. (KJV) Isaiah 43:4 Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee: therefore will I give men for thee, and people for thy life. (KJV) Zec. 2:8 For thus saith the LORD of hosts; After the glory hath he sent me unto the nations which spoiled you: for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye. (KJV)
God’s love for Israel will NEVER fail.
Isaiah 54:10 For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the LORD that hath mercy on thee. (KJV) Psalm 130:7 Let Israel hope in the LORD: for with the LORD there is mercy, and with him is plenteous redemption. (KJV)
God’s love for Israel is EVERLASTING.
Jeremiah 31:3 The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee. (KJV)
God’s love for Israel shows through His favor toward those who love her.
Genesis 12:3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed. (KJV) Psalm 122:6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee. (KJV)
God has NOT stopped loving Israel because of her unfaithfulness! NO One Is Righteous!
Romans 3:9-11 What then? are we better than they? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin; 10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: 11 There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. As the apostle Paul wrote, may it never be! How can God not love Israel? He IS love. He continues to love all humanity despite our unfaithfulness. (KJV)
God is love.
1 John 4:8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. (KJV)
God's love NEVER quits.
1 Cor. 13:8 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away. (KJV).
God is ALWAYS faithful.
2 Tim. 2:13 If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself. (KJV)
God will NEVER forget or forsake Israel.
Psalm 94:14 For the LORD will not cast off his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance. (KJV) Isaiah 49:15-16 Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee. 16 Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me. (KJV)
God has NOT rejected Israel because many Jewish people rejected His Messiah Jesus. God still desires that Israel come to Him.
Matthew 23:37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not! (KJV)
God has NOT rejected Israel, and He NEVER will!
Romans 11:1-2a I say then, Hath God cast away his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. 2 God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew . . . (KJV)
God is able to redeem Israel . . . and us!
Romans 11:11-12 I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy. 12 Now if the fall of them be the riches of the world, and the diminishing of them the riches of the Gentiles; how much more their fulness? (KJV)
QUESTION: Does God’s faithfulness to Israel and His nonstop love for her affect every Believer in Jesus, BOTH Jew or Gentile? (Gal.3:26-29). The answer . . . is another question! Is God faithful and trustworthy or not? Dear one, God is either faithful to keep ALL His covenants, or He cannot be trusted to keep ANY of them. If God has stopped loving Israel and has broken His Covenant with the people He chose for His own, HOW can we trust His love for those of us who believe in Jesus the Messiah? If He changed His mind about Israel, how can we trust that He will not change His mind about born again believers today?
Dear one . . . I praise and thank God that the Scriptures have answers to the question. The Bible tells us the Lord is eternally faithful with nonstop love. He is a Promise-fulfilling, Covenant-keeping God. The Word of God does not lie!
God is trustworthy and unchanging.
Psalm 145:13 Thy kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and thy dominion endureth throughout all generations. (KJV)
God does not lie or change.
Numbers 23:19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? (KJV) Malachi 3:6 For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed. (KJV)
God’s faithfulness is forever.
Psalm 117:2 For his merciful kindness is great toward us: and the truth of the LORD endureth for ever. Praise ye the LORD. (KJV)
God’s love is forever.
Psalm 89:2 For I have said, Mercy shall be built up for ever: thy faithfulness shalt thou establish in the very heavens. (KJV) Psalm 136:1 O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever. (KJV)
God keeps His covenants.
1 Kings 8:23 And he said, LORD God of Israel, there is no God like thee, in heaven above, or on earth beneath, who keepest covenant and mercy with thy servants that walk before thee with all their heart: (KJV) Psalm 105:8 He hath remembered his covenant for ever, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations. (KJV)
Israel will always be a nation before Him.
Jeremiah 31:35-36 Thus saith the LORD, which giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divideth the sea when the waves thereof roar; The LORD of hosts is his name: 36 If those ordinances depart from before me, saith the LORD, then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me for ever. (KJV)
God has NOT rejected Israel, nor has He reneged on any of His Promises and Covenants and has NOT stopped loving the Jewish people.
God’s Promises are irrevocable.
Romans 11:29 For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance. (KJV)
All through these many Scriptures, can't you SEE that God’s Heart for Israel and the Jewish people has NOT changed and will NEVER change. We can trust God because He is faithful and He always keeps His Promises . . . to Israel and to us who believe and accept Jesus to save us.
