Judgment in Noah’s Day
Most People Do NOT Live With Eternity in Mind!
http://www.judgmentcoming.org/j_c_books_living_with_eternity_in_mind.html
So many people deny the FACT of the Flood! Noah lived in an extremely corrupt age when men had become so universally depraved that the Lord had determined to destroy the race (Gen.6:1-7). In the middle of this moral darkness, Noah's life glowed with righteousness.
Genesis 6:8-9 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD. 9 These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God. (KJV)
Noah’s Commission was divinely revealed, that there would be a great flood that would destroy all mankind from the face of the earth because the earth was filled with wickedness. Genesis 6:5 And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. (KJV)
The strange and seemingly impossible task given to Noah, was to build a huge boat to save the lives of his family and many of the animal kingdom. When we consider the scene, we must remember that Noah was surrounded completely by godless unbelievers. When they realized he was building a BOAT, a BIG boat, in the middle of the desert . . . can you imagine how they laughed, mocked, ridiculed and scoffed? He became a laughingstock.
No one talks much about the 120-years that while Noah was building the ark, people sinfully laughed and mocked in unbelief at his preaching. They focus solely on the one time Noah got drunk. King David committed adultery and killed a man, and lost everything, but God forgave him (Psalm 51). God sees the hypocrisy of the wicked, but God also sees how the righteous man is unfairly attacked. God will judge in perfect knowledge, because He sees everything and knows everything.
Year after year Noah maintained his faith and continued his work on a job that made him look as if he had gone mad. We should let Noah be an example to us. His persistent faith in God is extraordinary, and the LORD was very pleased with him. Noah walked with God . . . let us do the same, and we will have no fear of Judgment Day! If Noah Walked with God in the midst of his wicked surroundings, we too can do it in our day.
