WHAT SHOULD WE DO?
Read, Understand, Watch, Wait

We should not use the Bible as a means to read into things that are not there. We cannot make the text fit what is going on around us, BUT we can allow the Bible to speak to us, understand what is being said, and then watch for when these things might be. We should always pray and study and let God speak to us from His Holy Word. We must handle the Word of God with the utmost of care at all times.

There are many descriptions all through the Bible concerning the man of sin (Antichrist). There are questions often asked: Who is this man? Is he alive today? Each one of us most likely have our own thoughts and ideas as to who it could be, but I do NOT know who the Antichrist might be, and neither do you. No one knows for sure. All we have is our guesses. I know I have mine, as do you.

Since we do NOT know when Jesus shall come and remove the TRUE church at the Rapture (Mat.24:42; 25:13), how could we possibly know something that is to take place AFTER that event? But, since the Rapture is imminent (looming, sure to come), the Antichrist certainly could be someone alive today, waiting for the Rapture to take place so he can make his entrance. We do NOT know WHO Antichrist is or WHEN he shall come. Jesus has to come for the church FIRST!

The Bible does tell warn us of a world leader who will soon rise and grow in power. This leader has been given many names and titles, which describe his attributes, both in the Old and New Testaments . . . one of which is the 'Antichrist' (1 Jn.2:18). The Bible says this man will not be revealed until after the Restrainer, the Holy Spirit (2 Thes.2:6) . . . including the body of TRUE believers alive at the time (Rom.8:9), is removed from the Earth. AFTER the Holy Spirit and all TRUE believers, who are indwelt with the Holy Spirit (Jn.14:17; Rom.8:11; 1 Cor.3:16), are removed from the Earth, there will be NOTHING to quench or withhold evil in the world! The only ONE who can withhold, repress and keep back evil is the Holy Spirit. NO government can do it!

Have you ever wondered what it will be like when the Presence of the Holy Spirit is removed? Matthew 24:21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. (KJV) . . . As soon as the Rapture has completed, the Tribulation Period will take place. What a horrific time that shall be!

This coming world leader (the Antichrist) will begin by exerting control over ten nations which were once part of the Roman Empire, most likely European nations. The prophet Daniel was allowed to see this man. He calls him a beast!
Daniel 7:7 After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten horns. Daniel 7:20 And of the ten horns that were in his head, and of the other which came up, and before whom three fell; even of that horn that had eyes, and a mouth that spake very great things, whose look was more stout than his fellows. (KJV) . . . What Daniel saw and heard was far from good!
Daniel 7:24 And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings. (KJV) . . . The ten horns are ten kings who shall arise out of this kingdom (the Revived Roman Empire, which is probably 10 nations out of the Europe Union). This European Union is rapidly fulfilling prophecy in becoming the prophesied revived Roman Empire, the final worldly kingdom of human history. According to prophecy, this kingdom will give rise to an ecumenical and apostate religion, a global government, and a global economy. Out of this kingdom will arise the most evil dictator ever known to man . . . the Antichrist.
Revelation 17:12-13 And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast. 13 These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast. (KJV)

And another shall rise after them; he (the Antichrist), shall be different from the first ones, and shall subdue three kings (or nations) . . ."

Shall be diverse (different) . . . we do not know what nationality this man will be, or what makes him "different." He is described as 'the Assyrian' (Isa.10:5), an area around Syria and Iraq. He may be considered an 'alien' by some. This man will quickly combine power over 10 nations which were once part of the Roman Empire (probably European) and then take over the whole world through treaties and war. God warns us this man will be empowered by Satan (Rev.13:4). He will lead the world into the terrors of disaster. This coming world leader has been given many names and titles in the Bible, including one of the best known, which is the most misleading . . . the 'Antichrist.' Although he will be against faithful Christians and will mock God’s Word, the world will view him as a great leader and a man of peace. This man will be Satan’s counterfeit messiah. He will use deception and lies to "spin" his web of deceit and to conceal his true motives. Prophecies clearly indicate that this man will not be fully revealed until AFTER the Rapture, when the "Restrainer" is taken out of the way (2 Thes.2:7-9).

According to the Bible, you CANNOT separate the Holy Spirit from TRUE believing Christians (Jn.14:17; Rom.8:9,11; 1 Cor.3:16; 1 Jn.4:4). This is a Promise from God. So, in order to remove "He who now withholdeth" (the Holy Spirit), God must also remove the body of believers who are alive at that time. I truly believe that the Antichrist CANNOT and will NOT be revealed until after the Rapture of the Church.

We are living in the Last Days. We all must watch as we wait for the Coming of the Lord Jesus at the Rapture.
