One World Currency?
One World Government?

Does the Bible prophesy a one-world government and a one-world currency in the end times?
The answer is . . . The Bible does not use the phrase “one-world government” or “one-world currency” in referring to the end times. But . . . it does give us enough evidence to enable us to know that BOTH these things will exist under the rule of the Antichrist in the last days.

In his apocalyptic vision in the Book of Revelation, the Apostle John sees the “beast,” (the Antichrist), rising out of the sea having seven heads and ten horns (Rev.13:1). If we combine this vision with a similar one of Daniel (Dan.7:16-24), we can SEE that some kind of world system will be set up by the beast, the most powerful “horn,” who will overthrow the other nine and will wage war against Christians. The ten-nation confederacy is also seen in Daniel’s image of the statue (Dan.2:41-42), where he pictures the final world government consisting of ten entities represented by the ten toes of the statue. Whoever the ten rulers are and however they come to power, God’s Holy Word is quite clear that the beast will either destroy them or reduce their power to nothing more than fronts. In the end, they will do as he commands.

John also describes the ruler of this vast empire as having power and great authority, given to him by Satan himself (Rev.13:2), being followed by and receiving worship from “all the world” (13:3-4), and having authority over “every tribe, people, language and nation” (13:7). From this description, it is just common-sense to assume that this person is the leader of a one-world government which is recognized as sovereign over ALL other governments.

It is hard to understand how so many different systems of government as are in power today, will all willingly surrender themselves to one single ruler, but it shall happen! A common-sense conclusion is that the disasters and plagues described in Revelation as the seal and trumpet judgments (chapters 6-11) will be so overwhelming and create such a massive global crisis that people will hold on to anything or anyone who promises to give them relief.

Once Antichrist is granted power, Satan will move to establish absolute and total control over ALL the people of the Earth . . . to achieve what they so desire . . . the worship Satan has been so desperately seeking ever since he was cast out of Heaven (Isa.14:12-14). One way this will be accomplished, is by absolute control of all commerce . . . and this is where the phrase a one-world currency comes in.
Rev. 13:16-18 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: 17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. 18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six. (KJV)

Antichrist, backed by Satan, will demand that EVERYONE . . . great and small, rich and poor, slave and free, receive a mark on the right hand or on the forehead. NO one will be able to buy or sell anything without unless they have this mark of the beast.
He will have tremendous power. He will put out a ruling that ALL people (everyone, everywhere) receive a “mark” on their right hand or forehead (conspicuous spot). I don’t know if this mark will be visible to the naked eye or not. It could possibly be a tiny microchip that will be inserted under the skin. These ‘chips’ are already in use for identification purposes on pets. The tiny chip is inserted under the skin on the shoulder of a dog, cat or horse. Should the animal stray, the chip can be read, revealing to whom the animal belongs. I truly do not know exactly what or where or how this “mark” will work, but I DO know it is the devil’s mark, and I DO know you do NOT want any part of it! This “mark” of the beast is designed to mock the seal that God places on His people (Rev.7:2-3), AGAIN, we have imitation and counterfeits of Satan. God marks His people to save them. Satan’s beast marks his people to save them from the persecution that Satan will inflict upon God’s followers. Identifying this particular mark is not nearly as important as identifying the purpose of the mark. Those who accept it show their allegiance to Satan. They will be able to operate within the economic system he promotes, AND they show their open rebellion for God. NO ONE will be able to buy or sell or trade in any way; without accepting Satan’s mark. That includes doctors, dentists, hospitals, banks, all stores of any kind. Anyone who refuses to accept this mark shows that person is totally committed to God; and shows they prefer death rather than compromise their faith in Christ. It will be a terrible time!

Rev. 13:18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six. (KJV)

Let the one who has understanding solve the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man. Antichrist's number is 666. The number of the beast is given, so as to show the infinite wisdom of God. This number has been talked about more than any other part of the Book of Revelation.
The three sixes (666) have been said to represent many things: the number of man, the unholy trinity of Satan, Antichrist and the False Prophet (Rev.16:13). IF the number 7 is considered to be the perfect number in the Bible, and IF three sevens represent complete perfection, then the number 666 falls way short of perfection. Some people have applied 666 to the emperor Nero, who symbolized all the evils of the Roman Empire.

I think it very unwise of us to waste our time trying to figure out this number. We should be trying to win as many souls to Christ as we can, in order that they NOT go through this horrendous time. Remember that both these “beasts” that John saw in his vision are men. This should teach us NOT to place our trust in man, but in God!
Jeremiah 17:5-8 Thus saith the Lord; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the Lord. [6] For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited. [7] Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is. [8] For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit. (KJV)

I believe that God’s TRUE children will NOT go through the Tribulation Period and I think the following Scriptures state this truth.
Rev. 3:10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. (KJV)
1 Thes. 1:10 And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come. (KJV)
1 Thes. 5:9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, (KJV)

And also, what about the Rapture?
1 Thes. 4:13-18 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. 15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. 16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words. (KJV)

Again, let me say that IF you are one of God’s children (by faith in Christ Jesus, John 1:12), you will NOT go through the Great Tribulation period, even if it started today! For the TRUE church (the Body of Christ), will be raptured BEFORE God allows it to start.

I am so thankful that I will not go through the Great Tribulation period. I am so grateful that Jesus has saved my soul from the everlasting destruction of Hell, and one day when He comes to get God’s TRUE children at the Rapture, He will allow me to be in His awesome Presence. Thank You Jesus!

Those who are left behind AFTER the Rapture of the Church will be faced with an agonizing choice . . . #1. Accept the mark of the beast in order to survive or face starvation and horrible persecution by the Antichrist and his followers. #2. Choose to come to Christ at this time, which shall bring immediate death by Antichrist.

Some wise people will refuse to worship the beast and to receive his mark, choosing instead to worship God instead. Many will be killed. But a short time later they will be raised from the dead and they will live and reign with Christ for 1,000 years.
Rev. 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
