The Cashless Society
The basic foundation for the Mark of the Beast is being laid even as you read these words. The originator to the seven-headed ten-horned empire that will spawn the Antichrist and the Mark of the Beast is actually busy developing the way to implement the final global economic system, even before the Antichrist is revealed. And this early preparation is necessary, in order to successfully develop an economy where some kind of mark confirms an individual’s ability to buy or sell. This will have to be an extensive network that will have to be set up and operational worldwide. IF the system was not all inclusive and completely foolproof, it would be too easy to get around the need for the Mark, simply if the buyer and seller agree not to use it. To prevent this loophole, it now appears quite certain that the Antichrist’s system will completely eliminate the physical transfer of money (paper money and coins) and will replace it with a currency system associated with the Mark of the Beast (Rev.13:16-18). To confirm the transfer of value between a buyer and seller, there will have to be a behind-the-scenes operation that will authorize each commercial activity and then transfer the new currency between the parties. If the validation is not successful, then the transfer of money could not occur and the transaction would fail. From our viewpoint today, the system of the Beast is developing to involve digital currency and an authentication process that is done using the extensive electronic capabilities and networks that have been put in place over the last generation . . . and are leading the world to a cashless society where everything will be controlled.
It will not be long, that the development of high speed microprocessors, computers and digital storage combined with the vast communications networks resulting from building the Internet and wireless communications systems, the Antichrist’s method of commerce would simply not function. These developments in technology have come upon us SO quickly that before the 1970’s the scientific and engineering knowledge did not exist to even start constructing this system. Preceding generations before our time could not have imagined this technology or how it would be used. But, now we can see why the Bible describes the prophecy about the Mark in Revelation 13 as taking wisdom to understand it. It turns out that no other time in history could have spawned the Mark of the Beast and no other generation but ours could have understood how the system would operate.
Nearly everything associated with end times prophecy had its beginning sometime around the time of Israel’s rebirth or shortly thereafter. My friend, the number one signpost of the end of the age, was Israel becoming a nation, and was also the starting point for many of the other prophecies of Christ’s return. What an incredible God who could predict these events thousands of years before they were destined to occur and bring them all together in our time!
Today we have plastic money, electronic transfer of funds, etc, all of which is leading to the mark of the beast.
Cashless society would solve the drug problem
The biggest thing driving us to the cashless society is the drug trade. The drug industry depends on the use of cash to avoid detection by the law. If there were no cash and all transactions had to done electronically, then immediately the trail of the huge amounts of money involved in the illegal drug trade would become traceable. This argument alone is enough for some people to advocate moving quickly into a cashless society.
Another thing in favor of the cashless society is the Internal Revenue Service. The IRS would love for every single transaction to be done electronically. It has already been projected that soon US citizens will not even have to file tax returns. Once all transactions are done electronically, the government will have the ability to know which transactions are deductible and will be able to figure your taxes for you.
Counterfeiting is one more thing driving the economic planners of our nation into considering the cashless society. There would simply be no counterfeiting if all transactions were done electronically.
This all sounds good. So what's the problem?
The Bible says that a person who submits to receiving this number (mark of the beast) can never be saved? WHY is receiving this number so wrong? Revelation 13:15 tells us that the condition of receiving your number will be that you must worship the Antichrist, the one-world government leader, its one-world dictator. IF you do not pledge allegiance to this dictator, then you will not be given your number for buying and selling. You will be placed under personal economic sanction by the new world order. But to worship this man and his image, and to pledge allegiance to this dictator will be an act of idolatry against God Himself. Rev. 14:9-11 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, 10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: 11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his
