The Time of the Gentiles

Luke 21:24 And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled. (KJV)
And they shall fall by the edge of the sword . . . the number of those that perished by the famine and sword, was said to be eleven hundred thousand.
And shall be led away captive unto all nations . . . when the city was taken, the most handsome of the young men were kept for the triumph; and those that were above seventeen years of age, were sent bound into Egypt, to work in the mines; many were distributed through the provinces, to be destroyed in the theatres, by the sword or beasts; and those that were under seventeen years of age, were led captive to be sold; and the number of these only, were ninety-seven thousand.
And Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles . . . the Romans, who ploughed up the city and temple, and laid them level with the ground; and that place has been ever since inhabited by such as were not Jews, as Turks and Papists, and so it will be,
Until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled . . . that is, until the fullness of the Gentiles is brought in (Rom.11:25); until the Gospel is preached all over the world (Mat.24:14), and all God's elect are gathered in out of all nations (Isa.11:12; Jer.29:14); and then, and ONLY then, will the Jews be converted, and return to their own land (Isa.14:1), and rebuild and inhabit Jerusalem (Isa.44:26) but until that time, it will be as it has been, and still is possessed by Gentiles.
Jesus said that Jerusalem would be trampled underfoot by the Gentiles “until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled” and it has been so!

Romans 11:25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. (KJV)
“The fulness of the Gentiles” began many years ago; when God called out the church. Acts 15:14 Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name. (KJV) . . . It will conclude with the Rapture of the church (1 Thes.4:13-18).
“Mystery” needs to be explained. In Paul’s day there were ‘mystery’ religions. Today, a mystery is an unrevealed plot or person. In the Bible it is neither of these. In Scripture, mystery refers to something that was concealed in the Old Testament, but revealed in the New Testament. The mystery here is the identification of the fulness of the Gentiles which was NOT revealed in the Old Testament.
So many Jews have hard, doubting hearts; but dear one, this will last only until the complete number of Gentiles comes to Christ. We do not know what the ‘number’ of Gentiles is . . .only God knows that. But when that exact number is reached, the Rapture will place. The Lord shall call His people Home!
Then, dear one, after the Rapture . . . God will start dealing with Israel in the Great Tribulation period. Millions of Jews will hear the Gospel brought to them by the 144,000 (Rev.7).

Let us never forget that it was, and still is, the Jews resisting the Gospel, and denying Jesus as the Messiah, that brought the Gospel of Christ Jesus to us Gentiles.
Scripture states that there will come a time when God’s focus would return to the Jewish people. The modern nation of Israel was reestablished on May 14, 1948, but the Old City of Jerusalem, including Mount Zion itself, continued to be trampled underfoot by the Gentiles until 1967.
Toward the end of the Six-Day War, Israel saw a brief window of opportunity to recapture Jerusalem. Its military goals did not include the ancient capital. In fact, Israel had urged Jordan to stay neutral during the hostilities. But Jordan’s pride and God’s will aligned to create an opening for the Jews to reclaim the city.
Hearing that the city had been liberated, Shlomo Goren, the Chief Rabbi of the IDF, rushed to the Western Wall, blew a shofar, and declared, “I proclaim today the beginning of the Messianic Age.” He understood that when the Jews were back in possession of Jerusalem, God’s prophetic time clock would begin counting down to the end.

Even though having the Scripture of Luke 21:24, and countless other prophetic Scriptures, and the indwelling Presence of the Holy Spirit, most Gentile Christians were not aware how important that moment was. Most people were simply not interested in events taking place half a world away. The increasing chaos of Vietnam and growing unrest at home was far more worthy of their attention than what was happening in Israel.
I bring a sad commentary on contemporary Christianity . . . all the time that God is at work all around us, fulfilling Promises Christians have yearned to see for almost 2,000 years, most followers of Christ are paying attention to all the wrong things. They are reading the wrong books instead of reading the RIGHT Book! We Christians have the Holy Word of God. WHY don’t we pay more attention to it? We need to treasure it, study it, believe it, and obey it.
There are parts of eschatology (end times) where people disagree, but there is so much we CAN understand IF we simply open the God’s Holy Book and follow the warning of Revelation . . . “Read and heed.” https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christian_eschatology
There are other Scriptures with this warning: Deut.4:1-2;12 ;32; Pro.30:5-6; Rev.22:18-19.
Ecc. 12:13-14 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. 14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil. (KJV)

Just before Israel entered the Promised Land to possess it, Moses said to the Jewish people:
Deut. 29:29 The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law. (KJV)

What is Next?

When “the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled,” WHAT lies ahead? Considering God’s prophetic Word, there are NO more requirements for Jesus to fulfill . . . it seems that Jesus will be told: “Go and get your Bride,” which means the Rapture shall take place! Jesus will come in the clouds and call us Home! (1 Thes.4:13-18; 1 Cor.15:51-53).
The very phrase insinuates that we have reentered the time of the Jews . . . in Jerusalem and beyond. The world has focused its attention on the Jewish question with renewed thoughts. Middle East peace certainly involves Israel. The nations of the world pay close attention to what happens in Jerusalem . . . and they are united in total opposition to Israel. Satan’s chief goal of eliminating the Jews is much more obvious in antagonism and hatred toward Israel and hostile Antisemitism toward Jews.
But dear one, God is not done with the Jewish people. He has them right where He wants them . . . back in their Land and more than ready to witness His mighty and outstretched hand that miraculously protects them.
May we all praise the Lord, for there is an increasing wave of belief in Yeshua among the Jews in Israel and in the Dispersion. The trickle of this rising wave will become a torrent in the fullness of time. And finally, when the Jewish people come to the end of themselves, during the Tribulation, they will look upon Him whom they have pierced and weep over Him like a firstborn son. . . . The Jews shall look upon Him Whom They Have Pierced.
Zec. 12:10-11 And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn. 11 In that day shall there be a great mourning in Jerusalem, as the mourning of Hadadrimmon in the valley of Megiddon. Israel will finally cry out: “Blessed is He Who Comes in the Name of the LORD!”

The Countdown is Ticking

ALL the Signs of the Times tell us that we are living on borrowed time. Jesus shall come SOON! And dear one, as I always say: Keep your eyes on Israel. ISRAEL is the Key!
Israel’s sheer existence PROVES that God is all-powerful; that He can choose, bless and protect whomever He wants; and that our Almighty God can and will re-arrange or cancel even the worst evil plans of Satan and man to fulfill His perfect will and bring glory to Himself. Satan hates Jesus and all that He stands for, including Christians!
Israel is half a world away from us, but it brings BOTH a promise and a warning. Jesus is coming soon! He IS the Messiah and He will be the Blessed Hope for all those who know Him . . . BUT BEWARE . . . Christ Jesus can and will be a holy terror for ALL who have rejected Him (John 3:36; 1 John 5:10-13).

The choice is yours. Time is of the essence.
Next year might be too late!
