PERSECUTION OF CHRISTIANS

An ultimate example of a negative spiritual sign is a hasty rise in the persecution of Christians. When we first began our ministry in 1996, I wondered if one day some fanatical-liberal group in America, would jail a Christian for their faith. As the years rolled by, I knew that it would become a reality, and it has! And, dear one, it shall get worse!

Some denominations have gravitated far to the Left, and individual pastors are also susceptible to drifting away from orthodox Biblical faith. Some studies have documented that closet atheists are engaged as pastors and church leaders in virtually every denomination in America.

AN EPIDEMIC OF DECEPTION AND SATAN WORSHIP

HOW could any of this happen unless people willingly stray? While not every Christ-denier will openly worship the devil, their eternal destiny is the same. Unbelievably, a growing number are verbally affirming their allegiance to Satan. The so-called Church of Satan existed only at the extreme fringes of American society until recent years. Now, Satan worship is not only widely tolerated, it is also celebrated at events like the Grammys and gleefully broadcast on networks like CBS for the entire nation to revel.
Anyone fully grounded and committed to the Holy Word of God and relying on the Holy Spirit should be immune from drifting away from the Lord. Many people have had “crises of faith.” A mark of an overcomer is that they overcome these fiery darts.

PERSECUTION OF CHRISTIANS

When the US Supreme Court handed down its Obergefell decision on June 26, 2015, the liberal governor in Kentucky immediately mandated that every county clerk had to personally endorse his newly minted same-sex marriage license certificate. Out of 120 counties, only three clerks were willing to risk their income and pension to oppose such an outlandish order. Governor Steve Beshear instructed his administration to fire up the furnace of public opinion and throw in Kim Davis. In the end, he would insist she be jailed for flaunting his edict. Five years later, Beshear’s son held the same office. As he reacted to the supposed Covid crisis, he singled out Christian churches for heavy-handed intimidation and threats . . . in flagrant violation of the First Amendment to the US Constitution.

Then there was the imprisonment of Christian pastors Artur Pawlowski and James Coates in Canada for refusing to bow to the persecution of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. Dear one, Christian faith is under attack around the world, including from our current US Administration. There are many pastors and missionaries who confirm that conditions are getting worse year by year because America no longer cares about defending religious liberty in general and Christian evangelistic efforts in particular.

Why military chaplains omit the Name of Jesus

John 14:13-14 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it. (KJV)
Military chaplains are vital to leading people to Christ in American military bases.
Romans 10:14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? (KJV)
The apostle Paul clearly states WHY preachers must understand how vital the chaplain’s role when he asks the following question, "How shall they hear without a preacher?" Certainly, the born-again chaplain is primarily in the military to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ so that our service members can hear and hopefully be saved. Of all the duties expected of a chaplain, none exceeds the task of evangelism.

A born-again military chaplain wears the cross emblem on his uniform with honor. There is no doubt, he is a servant to the one true God who exists in a trinity of persons. And a born-again chaplain SHOULD pray boldly, with NO shame in Jesus' Name in both public and private settings. The chaplain should always strive to use his public platform to pray in the Name of Jesus because of John 14:13. Christ Jesus gave us the reason why ALL Christians should pray in His Name. It is about the glory of God. NO TRUE born-again chaplain would ever rob the Father of His glory by intentionally not praying in the Name of His Son. Whenever a chaplain prays in the Name of Jesus, he is boldly identifying himself as a Christian . . . That is NOT illegal!
Please remember that Jesus said: Matthew 10:32-33 Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. 33 But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven. (KJV)

Sad to say, many military chaplains intentionally do not pray in Jesus' Name. As disgusting as this may sound, it is a very common practice today among military chaplains . . . among both liberal and conservative ones. These "no Jesus" prayers are normal in military chaplaincy because most chaplains have abandoned the Holy Name of Jesus because of fear. Shame on them! Jesus will NOT forget! Mat.10:33 But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven. (KJV)

It is anti-Christian to intentionally omit the Name of Christ in public or private prayers. Only a compromising chaplain, those who CLAIM to be conservative, are historically known for trying to rationalize apostasy by claiming that although they omit Christ from their public prayers, they "internally know who they are praying to." This SAD sort of rationalized refusal to confess Christ publicly is an act of cowardice! Instead of unashamedly praying in Jesus' Name (as the Bible commands), such chaplains will offer "no-Jesus" prayers so they do not offend unbelievers instead of God.

ALL these negative signs weigh upon the soul of anyone who wants to serve the cause of Christ, bearing witness to the battles Satan seems to be winning. Sensing his soon death, Satan is now doing double time to distract, discourage and deceive. But greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).

We all need to do ‘double time’ on our prayers! Ask for tough and persevering faith from the One who overcame the grave, and promises to hold us close, as we too, overcome the world.

POSITIVE SIGNS

Praise the Lord, His Spiritual Signs are full of the many confirmations that God IS in control, that His plans CANNOT be thwarted, and that He shall be victorious in spite of Satan’s malicious efforts.
<><><>WORLDWIDE PREACHING OF THE GOSPEL.
It seems that we are at the point of reaching every people group in the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The fulfillment of Jesus’ Great Commission is something generations of Christians have been dedicated to and wants to see. It seems that this is now within our reach. Because of the advances in technology, they now can reach out of the way places of the world. And although I am not a fan of Billy Graham, it is estimated that he alone preached to over 2 billion people in his lifetime.

<><><>RECOVERY OF DAVIDIC PRAISE AND WORSHIP
I love the old hymns and greatly appreciate them. But over the years, there has been a great loss of the passion and joy in the worship demonstrated by King David. When David would dance down the aisle of many solemn houses of worship, some there to worship would respond like David’s wife Michal, who despised him for his enthusiastic worship.
2 Sam. 6:16 And as the ark of the LORD came into the city of David, Michal Saul's daughter looked through a window, and saw king David leaping and dancing before the LORD; and she despised him in her heart. (KJV)
But recently there seems to be an appreciation for this style of worship that touches the heart and expresses the delight that David exhibited. This seems to be is happening across denominational boundaries and worship styles. The Lord has always welcomed those who seek to praise Him by worshiping in spirit and in truth (John 4:24). This revived Davidic style of praise and worship is one display of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit that Joel refers to as the “latter rain” prophesied to fall after the Jews had returned to their land (Joel 2:23,28).

<><><>PROPER UNDERSTANDING OF BIBLE PROPHECY
One positive Spiritual Sign that thrills the heart of every serious student is Bible Prophecy. The Word of God indicates that in the End Times, some of the mysteries prophesied long ago will become clear. The Lord gave the prophet Daniel tremendous insight and foresight, allowing him to interpret dreams, read strange handwriting, and see into the distant future. Daniel was the only man in Scripture given an extended biography who does not demonstrate great failings or character flaws. But in spite of his great discernment he was puzzled by some of the prophecies he was recording. In the third year of Cyrus king of Persia, a message was revealed to Daniel by “a certain Man” dressed in linen and girded with a belt of gold. (John described Jesus’ appearance in the same way in.
Rev. 1:12-16 And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks; 13 And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle. 14 His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire; 15 And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters. 16 And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength. I believe this is a pre-incarnate appearance of Christ. The Man’s body was like beryl, His face shone like lightning, and His words were “like the voice of a multitudet.”
Daniel 10:1-6 In the third year of Cyrus king of Persia a thing was revealed unto Daniel, whose name was called Belteshazzar; and the thing was true, but the time appointed was long: and he understood the thing, and had understanding of the vision. 2 In those days I Daniel was mourning three full weeks. 3 I ate no pleasant bread, neither came flesh nor wine in my mouth, neither did I anoint myself at all, till three whole weeks were fulfilled.
Dan 10:4 And in the four and twentieth day of the first month, as I was by the side of the great river, which is Hiddekel; 5 Then I lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and behold a certain man clothed in linen, whose loins were girded with fine gold of Uphaz: 6 His body also was like the beryl, and his face as the appearance of lightning, and his eyes as lamps of fire, and his arms and his feet like in colour to polished brass, and the voice of his words like the voice of a multitude. He described to Daniel the human history leading to the time of the end, but warned him to “conceal these words and seal up the book until the end of time” (Daniel 12:4). One clue about that time of the end is contained within that same verse: “many will go back and forth, and knowledge will increase.”

Daniel, the great interpreter and prophet, was puzzled. Daniel 12:8 And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things? (KJV)
The Man responded:
Daniel 12:9-10 And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end. 10 Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.(KJV)

The Word of God indicates that in the End Times, some of the mysteries prophesied long ago will become clear. There is argument between True Christians about the power of certain music for praise and worship.
John 4:23-24 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. 24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. (KJV)

It is VERY clear that NOT all music is acceptable in worshiping “in spirit and in truth.” Sad to say, some music seems to exalt the worshiper instead of the Lord or is so absurd, shallow or vulgar that it is worthless to express it.
Eph. 5:19-21 Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; 20 Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ; 21 Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God. (KJV)
Christians must not inspire artists and movements that are disrespectful to the One and Only Almighty God! Please consider the songs and music you consider praise and worship. The test to determine whether a song is suitable for God-honoring worship is not the purity of the source but the Scriptural background of the words and the devotion of the heart that lifts up the honor and praise.

Pieces shall fall into place, and certain prophecies make more sense in the fullness of time. As the Lord’s Return and the world’s plunge into the Tribulation grows more imminent with each passing day, Bible prophecy is being understood with greater clarity. Committed Christians throughout most of Church history could not imagine HOW God would restore the Jewish people to their ancient homeland . . . but, He did!

Think of the two witnesses of Revelation 11, whose dead bodies will lie in the streets of Jerusalem for three and a half days while the whole world looks on. How could that be? Today’s modern technology will absolutely show that entire event!
Have you ever wondered why God gives us “just in time” understanding of His prophetic Word? It is because He wants us to trust Him, accepting by faith things that seem too strange to believe . . . like a son for Abraham and Sarah in their old age. In the fullness of time, our faith will be made sight (2 Cor.5:7). Until then, we can pay heed to James’ word of advice: James 5:8 Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh. (KJV)

OTHER SPIRITUAL SIGNS

Spiritual signs are clear as day in other categories too. America’s obsession with death is displayed in our nation’s horrific embrace of abortion on demand . . . with some truth-seekers and social leaders openly supporting actual infanticide (crime of killing a child within a year of its birth).
Some states have already legalized assisted suicide and denial of medical care for those considered unworthy of life . . . How do they decide WHO is unworthy?? Hitler would be well pleased. How else can we explain such a downward slide into moral insanity than a complete abandonment of our Judeo-Christian foundations?

Physician-assisted dying was first legalized by the 1994 Oregon Death with Dignity Act, with effect delayed by lawsuits until 1997. The Montana Supreme Court ruled in Baxter v. Montana (2009) that it found no state law or public policy reason that would prohibit physician-assisted dying.
It was legalized by Washington (state) in 2008, Vermont in 2013, California and Washington, D.C., and Colorado in 2016, Hawaii in 2018, New Jersey in 2019, Maine in 2020, and New Mexico in 2021. It had also been briefly legal in New Mexico in 2014 and 2015 due to a court decision that was overturned.

There are a few positive signs of hope, such as the Supreme Court’s overturn of the expansive Roe v. Wade decision, but there are also some atrocious negative signs. When states like California, New York and Minnesota preserve pro-abortion laws to go along with countries like North Korea, America is in a very deep spiritual crisis.
The demand by the Left for a one-world government comes from a lack of spiritual thought or understanding that rejects God. This is a very negative SIGN that is sprouting before our eyes. Israel offers both negative and positive spiritual signs. Even though the Israeli culture is overwhelmingly atheistic outside the Orthodox community, the Holy Spirit is drawing increasing numbers of Jews to follow Jesus. Most large cities in Israel and the US have growing Messianic congregations.

Determined hope is seen when hymnist Horatio Spafford captured the heights of hope, we can profess . . . even when in the depths of despair. In 1876, while grieving the death of his four daughters during a transatlantic crossing, Spafford wrote these words:

The End Times Sign of World Politics

Archimedes said, “Give me a place to stand, and a lever long enough, and I will move the world.”

What he assumed as a mathematical law of physics has become the megalomaniac dream of mankind. Kings and rulers have ranged from caring and kind to ruling with an iron hand. Even today, that is very clear among the nations of the world.

To the Greeks, “politics” described the affairs of the cities. The Old Testament speaks of kings who ruled over individual cities in Canaan. Later, God gave the Israelites a king following their clamor “to be like all the other nations” (1 Sam.8:19-20). He warned that even the kindest rulers would take away some of their bounty and their freedoms.

Today, there is a renewed demand for expanding governmental power. This plays into the hand of our great adversary, who thinks he would be a better ruler than Almighty God.

Government itself is not evil. Just as God instituted the family as the basic building block of society, He ordained government to uphold order, encourage societal goods, and punish inevitable wrongs. Within its proper limits, government is an agent for good. But Satan has incited mankind to pursue powers and policies that reject God’s laws and take up His authority. Since Babel (Gen.11:1-9), the result has been disappointment, failure and heartbreak.

God’s Word clearly tells us that the nations of the world will align in a specific way in the End Times. Aspiring global big-wigs will try to manipulate the nations like pieces on a chessboard. This craze for world politics is just another sign that we are living in the time of the Lord’s Return. Dear one, the King of kings shall have the last move!

TRUE Christians see the signs of world politics all around us, and take great comfort in knowing that the Lamb who was slain shall return as a roaring Lion to set up His own righteous Kingdom on the Earth. I don’t know about you, but I am so oking forward to that glorious kind, caring and righteous Empire.

FDA Approves Brain Chip Implant

Science fiction just does not appeal to me. I know some people love it, but I think it is garbage, maybe because I could never understand what it was.

In today’s time, science fiction is becoming a reality. Brain implants is something that used to be science fiction . . . NO more! Wireless chips are being inserted into the brain allowing the person to control devices mentally. This is no longer science fiction.

On May 25th, Elon Musk’s company Neuralink posted the following on their Twitter account: “We are excited to share that we have received the FDA’s approval to launch our first in-human clinical study!”

What was the approval for? The U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) has permitted Neuralink to implant brain chips in patients. The brain chips will have a wireless connection to a computer enabling patients to control electronic devices mentally, get on the Internet, engage in social media, and so on.

Their vision for these brain implants is to cure a wide range of medical conditions, which is outstanding . . . BUT, they are state that the device is also planned to enable web browsing and telepathy. Telepathy (ESP, mind reading), is that science fiction or reality?

People’s comments in the comments section on the company’s Twitter account are “Sign me up!” and “I can’t wait!”

News reported that Neuralink had hoped to receive approval to implant its device into ten patients. How many patients the FDA will ultimately approve for a clinical trial is yet to be known. Mosty likely, it shall be much more!

In a video posted on Twitter, the company shows how its surgical robot uses advanced imaging systems to detect the brain and insert threads away from blood vessels using the robot’s high-precision camera. Technology is taking a huge step in our daily lives.

ALDI Grocery Store

ALDI grocery store in the United Kingdom is advertising a new shopping method. At a
new store on Greenwich High Road in London, their website says:
“Welcome to a new shopping experience. Download our SHOP&GO App and register your account to enter. Once in the store, just pick up an item or bag it. When you’ve finished shopping, go. You will be charged and receive your receipt via your app.”

FIRST, you must download the app, then you shop, and then you leave. Do you see that you can ONLY enter the store by downloading the app? You will not be able to enter without submitting to this technology. This is the “new way of shopping.”

This is starting in London. How long will it take for this to spread to other stores, cities, and countries? How open will people be to allowing this new shopping experience to become part of their daily life? You allow the app to track your actions when you enter the store. If you refuse to download this tracking device, you will be denied entrance into the store.
